This is a reply to # 570,611I asked about this very thing the other day.I had a colonoscopy and had to drink a gallon of stuff to get me cleaned out for it because of the diverticular pockets.That was May 2nd and their still like that.I think it must be a good sign that means we have really clean colons!And I'v eaten dark things such as pinto beans and my stools stay cream colored.Hope it stays that clean!Dot.

This is a reply to # 570,611Pale stools can be somewhat normal, but the rich dark brown, not black color is the most normal. A white stool would be very bad and would require a doctor to check up on it. A pale stool means that the gall bladder is not producing enough bile, or you are not eating enough good fats for the gallbladder to release bile. The bile is what gives the stool its brown color.

This is a reply to # 570,632I still feel it was her cleanse and all the stuff the hospital{a gallon}had me drink to get me cleaned enough for the colonoscopy since the diverticular pockets were hard to reach and clean.I feel sure I'm just really clean and a more normal color will come about.I'm not a big eater so it might take a little longer.My digestion has not been affected at all.But it did seem a little strange at first.I'll probably really search for answers if it stays this way for to long tho.Dot.

This is a reply to # 570,635it seems like stools would be pale for the first few movements after finishing a liver cleanse, just because most of the bile and stones were purged, maybe it takes a while for it to build back up or secrete enough to darken the stool. But pale for long-term doesn't seem good.

I've read that after the Colon Cleanse it is important to get a healthy
bacterial balance going again. Taking probiotics is very important.
I was told that a pale coloured poo meant that there wasn't enough
healthy bacteria.
I wouldn't worry, just spend some time 're-balancing' after the
cleanse!

This is a reply to # 570,641well, today i am still off all cleanses and my morning bm was definately darker. i guess it's the body's way of rebalancing after the parasite/bowel cleanse.
i feel good tho - no problems with my body so i was curious to why it was so pale. i've had rainbow colors before but never one big pale poo..lol!
today i also started the mc to help me pass the plaque and ropes. 2 yrs ago i did a week long mc and at the end started passing some strage stuff...at that point i didn't know about this site and thought i was hurting myself with the mc...how else can i pass strange stuff if not eating? so i stopped. well, boy was i silly! i know so much more now i can't wait to get all that stuff out finally!!!
wish me luck as i am a coffee drinker am not sure if i will completely be able to drop it!

This is a reply to # 570,636According to Western medicine pale stools are a sign that the liver gallbladder system is not working correctly. It would be very reasonable to see your Western medicing primary provider on this one.

I was just making a quick pass through...still busy with packing and moving...and thought I would throw in a comment or two. Light colored (cream, white, pale gray, etc.) stools are NOT a sign that the colon is squeaky clean!!! Fecal material gets its characteristic medium brown color from bile...and light colored stools are an indication that there is some sort of blockage or interruption in the manufacture or flow of bile...somethings up with the liver and/or gallbladder! The other possibility with white stools is they are the elimination of old barium that was previously used for some diagnostic test. If it persists...definitely have the liver/gallbladder looked at...and do some Liver Cleansing and flushes!- Question Lapis

Other possibilities would include any liver congestion or stagnation...from infection, inflammation, toxic overload, sluggishness...even a good night of tippin' the glass can reduce your liver's functional capacity. The true white stools generally happen when a stone is blocking the bile duct and cutting off bile flow altogether...but you can also have a measly dribble of bile that creates the lighter shades...cream, gray, yellowish.
Gotta run...one of these days when I get my life back you'll be seeing me here regularly again...just not sure when that's gonna be!!! ; )- ptree ocean

This is a reply to # 570,662hi ptree, i am confused about this because my liver and liver/gb area has been feeling very good these days. was not sore during the pale poo time. i've been feeling really good too after all that mucous has dried up and rest of parasites passed so i quit the shakes to do a liver cleanse.
altho something in me said not yet tho, so instead i started up an mc. my bm this morning was darker then yesterday but looked ok, nothing rainbow or unusual in texture. so, i am puzzled.
i think, since i still haven't managed to get any ropes out or stones in the last 4 flushes that there probably is lots in me to eliminate...and it's yet to come out.
i'll keep you all updated...today was my first day of the mc - and i managed suprisingly well!
