The first rite is for syncronizing the chakras...the spinning puts all of them in an even spin for better balance and overall well being...The rest of the rites are more for working out the muscular, glandular, digestive, and lymphatic sytems through yogic stretching exercises.
I have found that since doing the first rite...I don't get as dizzy in normal situations...such as getting up quickly and getting a headrush...riding the merry-go-round, and amusement rides that spin around, etc...
Since I have been at it a while, I don't count my revolutions on the first rite...I just let myself go, and spin freely...I find it is more enjoyable and relaxing that way...I am sure I do more than the 21...
When I first started though...even doing 3 revolutions was major dizziness and headaches...
