Dear Jhan and others,
It's great to find that a site like this exists. I've had my brain fog for 16 years now, and Candida was one of the first possibilities suggested to me. However, a couple of years ago I followed a rigorous 6-month program --strict diet, antifungal herbs, and
Colloidal Silver -- and while I felt fine otherwise, the brain fog remained. I concluded that perhaps Candida wasn't the problem after all. Now I'm looking back into this. Yesterday I did my first saliva test, and sure enough cloudy stringers appeared in the glass. (How accurate is that test, anyway?)
At any rate, maybe I wrote off Candida too soon. I have reasons to suspect other kinds of toxicity as well, so I've started some of the detox measures suggested in the book The Chemistry of Success, by Somebody Lark -- coffee enemas, PB drinks, and an organic, liver-friendly diet. Also I did a gentle liver cleanse for 10 days with grapefruit juice and all of that, and I'm planning to try
Hulda Clark e's liver cleanse a few times.
That said, I have kind of a grab bag of questions, and I'll be grateful for any sort of responses:
1. I bought an enema at a hospital supply store with a rubber bag. Is there a danger of the rubber leaching into the coffee thus exposing me to yet another toxin?
2. Jhan, you said that the
coffee enema was the cure for brain fog, and I'm certainly going to give it a try. Assuming it is in fact what I need, how long will I have to to the enema before I feel some relief? Also, I'm wondering, if I do have Candida, wouldn't at least some of my fog be caused by the Candida organisms themselves in my brain tissue, not just by toxins? (Or does the Candida just count as another toxin?) If the two are in fact distinct, any idea how to drive the Candida out of the brain tissue?
3. I'm intrigued by this ThreeLac product. However, I've taken lots of probiotics before (including almost 3 months of primal defense at 18 caps per day) with no improvement in my brain symptoms. Given that probiotics only treat the gut, how helpful are they for a truly systemic infection? Do you think ThreeLac is worth bothering with? And are there any other Candida remedies you might recommend? (I think I've tried nearly all, but one never knows.)
4. I'm also looking into overacidity and oxygen depletion for the first time, and thanks to the book I mentioned earlier and all of your comments on this forum, I'm beginning to see the connection of these conditions with Candida and brain fog. Naturally I'm going to test my pH and can follow the alkaline diet easily enough, and I've stepped up my exercise to get more oxygen into my blood. But are there other therapies anyone can suggest for acidity and low oxygen, something that might give faster results? For example, I read that ozone therapy is great for boosting oxygen levels -- does anyone know the best way of getting it into one's system, and where one might buy the appropriate equipment, if necessary?
I've emphasized Candida an awful lot here, but I'm still not certain I have it. I'm assuming that the detox measures will help whether I do or not.
I'll stop here and see what kind of suggestions you all can offer. I appreciate this immensely.
