Do you have *any* idea how ITCHY it is to shave the female pubic area and have hair start growing back? Or how extremely sensitive that area is? Or what razor burn or stubble, let alone a nick or cut on such tender skin feels like? It is on a large order of magnitude more sensitive than your face.

In this female's opinion, it is very selfish of you to nag your wife into shaving there. While *some* women like the smoothness of a fresh shave (and some like the pain of piercing the labia and even the clitoris), many if not most others would gladly not have to go through the discomfort, risk of infection, and/or pain. If *SHE* wants to, then that is *HER* decision, and it should be made for *HER*. *SHE* is the one who has to deal with the burn and the stubble every minute of every day.

Sheesh.

As far as looking feminine, how much more feminine could it be than to view a female as nature intended?!? And on the subject of shaving legs and armpits, well, can I hazard a guess that you probably haven't spent a lot of time in non-North American cultures?

Personally, my feelings of femininity certainly do not rely on removing pubic hair! I would hope that most women are much healthier emotionally than that.

I won't even go further into the pyschological ramifications of a hairless pubic mound and the correlation to prepubescent female children....

i used to trim mysel fhter all the time..
not just fo rlooks but better hygiene also..
it wans 't fo rany guy/cau sei was no tinvolved...
simply because i spent a great deal oftiem swimming and
i wore high cut bottoms/ so i got better leg movement and didn't feel liek givign teh world a view of my privates 8)
esp if in high heat areas it cut s down on odor/ form moisture/ if siting alot/ or sweatint alaot etc/
and what a life saver when on teh goo dold menses...
i knwotha t soudn sgrooss. bu tlet s face facts / blood sticks to hair and only smeel sworse each minute...
also if don't trim and wwwwear a swimsuit youactaully can look like a guy with a bi tof a fluuff htere bulge *smile *

Ladies sorry, you might loose all respect for me on this one. The female genetalia is very sensative when given a good clean shave. The problem with this is that if kept in that state it will loose that initial sensativity. So every couple of weeks or so it is a great way to spice things a bit. Now for the irratation part of the deal, easy, this sounds to be a contradiction but use an old razor. By the way this works if ever you have had itchy arm pits. Upon regrowth it is helpful to avoid undergarmets. It is the hair poking into the weave of fabric that causes
most of the annoyance. A
Oh, there is really no point of doing the entire organ, the underside is what I find to be the best, As my husband likes to call it, with a little " Landing Strip," for decoration.

I am a regular shaver--as one poster wrote, with a "landing strip" --and I plan to stay this way forever. I shaved the first time simply out of curiousity, and I love the smoothness, cleanliness, and sensitivity of being shaved. I have found that if I use a good razor, good quality shaving cream, and shave often, then I don't run into any of the razor burn/pain issues. And yes, there are also the gels out there that help to prevent all of that post-shave. I do have several friends that suffer from terrible razor burn though, and they now get the brazilian waxes. OUCH is right, but they say it is worth every bit of the sting. I am happy with the shaving, but I DEFINITELY think it is something each woman should decide for herself. I just happen to think it feels better smooth. I also think that a woman should feel feminine and sexy regardless of how hairy she is down there...
