Hi,
I can completely understand your fears of staying on the pill because of all the risks to your health.
Firstly, I think the response you had from the nurse was very inconsiderate and unhelpful, and such a sweeping statement should not have been given. What you really needed from the medical profession was informed guidance, not assumptions. Who is to say 'your endo will come back'.
It could very well be that because you have been on the pill for so long that the altered hormone levels in your body have allowed the active Endometriosis to shrink.
Regarding your Candida, there is strong and mounting evidence to suggest that there are strong links between Candida and Endometriosis.
I feel your most suitable plan of action is to:
Stop the pill because -
1 It is well documented to be detrimental to your health, as you obviously know
2 You do need to address your Candida overload, which you may not be able to do while on the pill
3 In turn, if you successfully deal with Candida, that will help to deal with Endometriosis (if you still have it that is, but you have not explained if you still have endo symptoms). You will obtain the best results from changes in diet both for Candida and Endometriosis.
Do all you can to eliminate the risk of a recurrence of Endometriosis, or if you do have active Endometriosis there are other ways you can minimise the disease by self help methods and diet.
For birth control - do not forget that it is only during a 4 to 6 day period that you are likely to conceive and you can use alternatives to drug birth control on these few days.
If you have not visited my website yet then I suggest you have a look and check out all the positive and informative advice about natural therapies for Endometriosis, diet changes for Endometriosis (and the same diet regime will help your Candida as well)
