I agree with surfsteve. I was a HUGE coffee drinker before my first
Master-Cleanse - at least a pot a day, and usually more. I had the most horrible caffeine withdrawal headaches for the first three days but once they were over, that was it, and my addiction was over as well. I am so happy that I did not take any coffee then, because now I can take it or leave it - days go by and I don't even have a sip, which was unimaginable to me a year ago.
However, with all that said, I *did* smoke a few cigarettes on my first and second MC's. I didn't get a huge reaction, but when I smoked two cigarettes toward the end of my third MC, I got really sick the next day with detox symptoms and I am convinced that my fairly "clean" system was reacting strongly whereas before there were so many toxins that a few more didn't show up as much. So I guess my point is, you *will* get some benefits from the
Master-Cleanse if you have a few sips, but you'll definitely be adding MORE toxins at a time when you are trying to eliminate ones you already have.
P.S. I have not had ONE cigarette since those two on my last MC, and I don't think I will ever smoke again. Whenever I get the urge, I remind myself of how sick I felt the day after I had those last two.....
