Greetings All:
Here I am at day 9 and it it hard to believe. As you know, the cravings mostly subside after the first few days; however, they do come back now and then. I'm feeling pretty weak this morning and would love to eat something.
I messed up my routine yesterday and didn't drink enough lemonade or water. It really makes a difference. I'm out of lemons and lemon juice so I'm on my way to the health food store to stock up. I'll get more syrup as well.
The good part is that I started at 217.5 lbs and this morning I'm at 201.5. I realize the proof will be in how I'm able to keep it off, but it feels good to lose this weight. My target is 185.
The
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) has made a big difference for me. I didn't use it the first 3 days but since then I've flushed every morning but 1. I'm lucky cuz my schedule is flexible and most days I can take my time getting around in the morning. I find it takes about an hour to fully utilize the SWF. I heat 4 cups of water a little over the stove and add 2 tsb of organic
Sea Salt - then drink - not gulp. Within 30 minutes the flushing begins. This morning I had 4 visits to the john before being finished.
I'm also lucky cuz I actually like the lemonade. I've never heated it, always make it very cold. It just so happens I love cayenne pepper, I use it all the time when cooking and the syrup and lemon mix suits me. It must be really hard if you don't like this stuff.
I live in Lubbock, Texas and bar b q is really big around here. In fact, I participate in bar b q cook-offs around the state. I make this point because one of my favorite web sites is one called the KC Bar B Q Forum. It is soley devoted to cooking and eating Q. I couldn't bring myself to visit the site my first few days on the cleanse; however, since about day 3 I've been reading and chatting again.
I bring this up because first, I find it ironic the two sites I spend my days with are so different (fasting and eating fat) and two, after the beginning, it wasn't hard for me to talk about cooking and eating foods I love.
Anyway, tomorrow it day 10, not sure but I may go for 12.
Hang in there everyone.....if I can do it anyone can.
