I just got an email from a friend in L.A. yesterday asking me to interpret a dream his girlfriend had of his mother and her spending time in Rome. It didn't make sense to me, as each dream is best interpreted, by the dreamer themselves, and the best way to do that is to keep a dream diary, so that by trial and error, contemplation and reflection, and through documentation to enhance and better "enable" this, one can then look for patterns, meanings, and SYMBOLS - when this is done, one can learn to "interpret" their own "patterns" and dream "symbols" - which are not all "universal" as some ancient texts on magic suggest, but also very "personal" and unique to each person who is having this dialogue with their own "subconsious".

As for magic mushrooms, take a trip to Amsterdam, and spend some time there if you want to know more about this ancient spiritual and religous tool of enlightenment... and do be careful, as you just might see the future in using them, half scorched and charred from Muslim/Islam rage all "stirred up" by the Illuminists, per Albert Pikes (Master Masons) demonic "dream" and "visions" given years ago, and on display in letter format in the British Museum for over 50 years -

I also remember old dreams on a regular basis, and I also get the feeling of an alternate life in my dreams. If I dream and I cant remember it I always feel I've lost an important message or experience, and I still find myself today trying to interpret dreams I had before, sometimes many years ago. So I would say it's not uncommon, what you're experiencing. A lot of people would say keep a dream journal - I would be inclined to agree even though I dont keep one myself right now (keep meaning to start one!). Take a half hour each day to write down these old dreams as they come back up for you. Sometimes writing things down helps you to 'settle' them in your mind, almost as if you're taking them out of your head and putting them on paper - try it, it really is effective. Thats why keeping a journal or writing those letters-you'll-never-send to people youre angry with works so well.

you could post some of your dreams here and maybe someone might be able to give their slant on it - i'm not great at interpreting dreams (as you can see from my previous posts!) but if i can help i will.

Now, about the magic mushrooms.... they just dont agree with some people. I have taken them on many occasions in the past - I wont say you should or you shouldnt do it, its a very personal thing. everyones experience will be slightly different, sometimes hugely different. you also have to be mentally and emotionally ready because they are powerful. where you take them and who is there also plays a huge part. i have had a very varied range of experiences on them and I would take them again, but for instance my partner has tried them twice and both times he had a really bad experience, so I would not recommend he take them again. he describes a similar experience to yours - he felt he was having all of his thoughts at once and he couldnt control his mind, inside his mind he was screaming but to us in the room with him he wasnt.
My experience has been that mushrooms allowed me to think on levels that i would not usually. it shines a light on the truth of things whether you're ready to see it or not, and for me anyway, it showed me myself, how i really am without the BS, sort of like looking at yourself and your life through someone elses eyes. you dont always like what you see. sometimes what i saw reduced me to tears but i wouldnt take it back.
If you are considering taking them again, I would say this - have someone there you love and trust preferably who handles them well. keep some Sugar (chocolate, sweets) and some milk close by because they will take the edge off an intense trip and start to bring you back down. theres nothing like doing it outside in nature, but this can be tricky because staying safe is more important.

the fact that your dreams still keep coming back would suggest to me that there are still messages in them that you need to uncover, or at least that on some level you feel you're not finished with them, so my advice would be dont panic about this, just try to interpret them one at a time.

the two worlds - the dream world and the waking world - exist in different dimensions and are separated by a filter that exisits between our conscious and subconscious minds. for some this filter is quite thick and not porous at all, they live very "normal" mainstream lives. for others the filter barely exists and they are constantly traveling between the two worlds, the mystics and poets and the muscicans are among them.

some drugs, especially the hallucinogens, erase much of the functions of this filter and allow one to see the waking world thru the eyes of the dream world. some report amazing insights, etc. however, the filter is there for a reason and messing with it can sometimes have negative consequences. aldous huxley wrote "the doors of perception" a book about his experiences taking mescaline. the doors he refers to that open and close, and allow different mental and emotional experiences to occur, is the same thing i refere to as a filter. the rock group "the doors" took their name from huxley's book.

it appears to me that you have opened some doors, or that your filter has been permanently opened, and the your dreams are leaking thru from the other world continuously. sometimes when you open a door, it closes fairly quickly, sometimes it gets stuck open. yours may be stuck open.

i would recccomend two things. first accept the possibility that there are still some toxins left from the mushroom in your system and get down to the business of detoxing. liver detox would THE KEY. also a parasite cleanse and bowel cleanse. go to the Liver Flush Forum here for more info.

then do this. go into a meditative state, relax and concentrate. then travel in your mind to the exact place where your dreams are coming thru and then just be there. don't try to change anything. just be right there in that space and watch as dreams are coming thru and remember them but do not attach yourself to them. just allow them to come and allow them to come and allow them to come and watch in a totally nuetral position. keep doing this and sooner or later you will see where the leak in your filter is and you will then see how to repair it. it may take a while, but also you will learn a lot about yourself. you may not ever actually have to do anything, the filter may repair itself simply by you being aware of it and watching and accepting yourself. afterall it is your mind, you have control of it whether you realize it or not.

there are consequences to everything we do, then again healing is always possible and life is about learning is it not? i am sure you are learning a lot.

When I took MM's 20+ years ago, I once talked to a squirrel. I understood everything the squirrel was saying to me, and it was totally cracking me up, until I freaked out that I was talking to this creature. Since then, I've had actual sleep dreams about the squirrel, repeating the last 20 years. I remember the event, exactly, all these years later too.

Isn't that weird? It's like my dream world and awake world crashed together, and formed one very significant event that has stuck with me all these years. A Navajo told me that I was indeed talking to a squirrel, and that it wasn't a dream, but I still have not interpreted correctly what the squirrel was trying to tell me, like a riddle.

He suggested I take some peyote, and go back to the same spot and find one of the squirrel ancestors LOL!!
