Thanks, Janaki, for opening the discussion. I actually have been thinking of this too.

I was thinking of a very simple technique but was being reserved.
I heard about it at a conference I went to a few months ago. I don't have a lot of practice with this sort of thing - which I'm trying to build.

Tracey, how is visualization for you? I imagine it is high.

One technique, **especially** before looking more deeply into one's constitution or doing any sort of reading for them, visualize yourself being protected in a golden egg - your whole body.

You may even want to source this - maybe from the earth - or from the earth and heavens.

Maybe you are very empathetic and need 'protection' very often. you could do this at the start of the day, whenever you think of it, and when you are perceiving the other person's energy. Then, right after your encounter, or maybe simultaneously, or at night, you can visualize releasing your 'golden egg bubble' and any attaching energy, back into the earth.
This will leave you refreshed and balanced for sleep and your own dream guidance.

If you choose to release others' energy continuously during the day, just be sure to build up your golden egg again. Common sense but I want to be clear.

Maybe you already do something like this, just that Janaki helped prompt me to open my mouth!!!

Janaki - you are right! Even though I danced for 15 years of my life I tend to ignore my body and I'm just not physical - or disciplined! rrrg. I had one interesting 'transformation game' reading where it was clear that I had to believe that my physical level had riches to offer also! Ah...one day...my north node IS in Taurus...and I know that I'm not in balance, as you say.

Thanks for bringing this clearing idea up - because I've been thinking about what I should do. I like the idea of doing something like you suggest...it feels like that's what I have to do....please keep me posted if you find any specific poses or anything at all for clearing. I can't check out the site you linked to right now because I've got to run (having a 60-person family reunion in a couple of hours!)...but I will later.

You said that you had similar dreams (telling people to get out!?) - so I wonder if all the discussion resonated with you, too?

Hi Janaki!

Well...yesterday at our family reunion I saw my cousin (who does energy work and is a yoga teacher - at Hollyhock on Cortes Island - I'll be staying with her when I do the Telepathy & Intuition workshop! yeeehaw) - anyway we had a chance to talk a bit yesterday about the idea of 'clearing'. It was reallly cool! She gave me an exercise to do. She also said, without me prompting her, that I need to 'clear and separate' not 'protect' - so that was nice comfirmation, too.

She said that she'll find herself, hours later, or the next morning thinking about someone she just did some energy work with and remember: ah! I forgot to do the separation! I, too, find myself thinking about everyone all the time...so I was thinking that I could just do a 'group separation' - because last week or so I had a dream where I had a tarot card reading and I can remember 3 cards: a huge group, 'Star of God', High Priestess.

Anyway, this is what she told me to do: Picture the invidual on my inner screen and visually draw an energetic line from them into the ground, grounding them...then another line connecting them up to their higherself/divine...secure them there in this beautiful way, maybe even with a golden energy field around them and then ask for all of my energy back (I become a magnet attracting my energy back) and I give them all of their energy back...so there's a mutual streaming (it can take some minutes) and then send them on their way...there were a few different ways I could do this. I think that a quick disappearance and transformation into a light mist that goes into the ground might be good...hmmm

So, I think that I'll do that when I feel energetically full of others.

You know what else is interesting? The teacher that taught my cousin that technique said that there was zero tolerance for this energy sticking around...and my cousin pointed her arm out strongly at the imagined energy and said 'get out!' as an example of how you have to be serious about this separation (but you don't do this in the visualization)....I couldn't believe it because that is exactly how I act in my dreams!! I point at them and the door like that and say those same words! So....it seems that, through my dreams, I do the separation when I need to! Cool eh? The way my cousin did a charade of that was too much - because she was just acting out my dream....too wild.

Just wanted to share this with you...and if you are still researching I wonder if you found something similar?
