I love this board. I love liver flushing. But what about Liver Cleansing along with the flushing?
I have a very fatty liver and loads of health problems because of it. Once I get all my stones out by flushing, however, isn't the fatty liver still going to be there unless I cleanse the liver with herbs to heal it?
I am currently Liver Flushing AND herbal cleansing along with a liver friendly diet. I am just curious if any of you know how this all works.
I know I have fatty buildup in my liver cells along with all my stones. What is the main problem here, the stones or the fatty build up? Will a stone free liver be able to dispose of the fat build up in its cells on it's own? Or are liver herbs always necessary when healing a fatty liver?

This is a reply to # 501,740I've been where you are, and actually am currently where you are thanks to going off my health regiment (oops) and discovering a love of baking and gourmet cooking LOL! :)
My cholesterol is at 300 and liver enzymes slightly raised. Whoopsie! I've solved this problem before with flushes and herbs and verified it with blood tests. I'll be getting a blood test next month so we'll see how well I've done this time! :) After just two flushes, and plenty of herbs, All of my nagging symtoms are gone and my Acne is clearing. Yippee!
I am a big cheerleader for continuing on after the flush with the proper liver-healthy diet, herbs, B vitamins and MSM. The FAQ here says which herbs, but they're not the ones I take. I like a combination of Bupluerum, Chinese Gentian, Milk Thistle, Dandelion Root, plus herbs to help evervate their action such as ginger. I found a great blend from Planetary Formulas from my local health food store, and I'm giving a couple tinctures I just discovered a try as well.

MoreThis is a reply to # 501,752Yes I had intended to wait until right brfor Christmas, but I got the urge to do it. I really believe that dream helped open me up I felt all my arteries and ducts and muscles relaxing and opening up and it seemed to benefit me..
I cannot recall sounds of my dream after she opened her mouth. It was like I was in rapture. I can clearly see her emitting the tones but I cannot recall the actual tones. Seemed to be a layer of many tones at once. I'm not musical.
Anyway hope you get over the flu soon. Will you then take time to rebuild before flushing?

the Planetary Formula is called "Bupluerum Liver Cleanse." :)
MSM is a kind of sulphur. It is present in just about all of our tissues, and sulphur is one of the things the liver needs on hand for metabolic (or is it catabolic?) functions. It helps maintain the blood PH, build connective tissue, break down carbs, oxygenate cells, strip out free radicals, TONS of things. :)- Re: shelleycat rainbow

I'm doing my 7th flush as I write this. All of them were a little different, but I had no pain at all for any of them. I was worried doing the first one too. It was nothing compared to what I feared. Actually, I was relieved because it was nothing near what I feared. :)
Try to relax. The worst thing is the taste of the Epsom Salts .
You'll do just fine.

I eat alot of eggs. Is this enough sulpur or do I also need to be taking MSM?
I take some kind of Phos****choline (can't remember the entire name of it) supplement that is supposed to help repair liver, as well as vitamin B6, and Dr. Schultze' LGB formula.
I am vowing to myself to not touch another grain, or Sugar (even natural) or caffiene and obviously not alchohol (other than the stuff in my tinctures) until I am 30 --two years from now.
Even if I start feeling better, I don't want to risk it. I want my fatty liver to become MORE than strong enough before I start adding in more foods. They say it can take years for a fatty liver to heal.
My boyfriend and I plan on moving out to the mountains in about a year as well, where the air is more pure and fresh and where we will be surrounded by nature. I think the city takes its toll on my liver as well. When I am Liver Cleansing I become much more aware of the constant stench of exhaust fumes I am forced to inhale all day long. I'm sick of it!
Only the best for this liver, since I think it was more fragile to begin with as it was.

You're not eating AnY grains?!? Some of the alternative grains are actually great. Quinoa, especially, is full of B vitamins and iron, and it isn't tough on the liver. It's mostly just flour and wheat that is tough on the system. I do fine on whole oats and brown rice cereal too.
MSM is a very absorbable and usable kind of sulphur. Eggs are great, but don't eat too many at once or more than 2-3 times a week. They can cause mucous.
All B vitamins are great for the liver, best to take all of them rather than focus on one. They work synergestically together many times.
The city definitely takes its toll. Nature is not as well-equipped any more to help us be healthy. Sigh. Best of luck on your move to the mountains! :)

Unfortunately, I have to be ultra strict if I want to be well. My diet can only consist of low carb/sugar veggies, poultry, eggs, nuts and seeds and unrefined oils.
Yes, it sucks. But I don't really see a choice here. Maybe one year of this diet will do the trick, then I will be able to tolerate grains. But for sure I will not eat any sugar, caffiene or alchohol for a few years at least.
If it will make it so I will not have to be on a strict diet anymore sooner, than I am all for it now. Mine as well get the suffering over with, eh?
I AM DETERMINED! MOUNTAINS HERE I COME!
I think I will pick up some MSM tomorrow. Thank you!
