you are the one that chooses from the food groups
what you eat and how you eat them.
and the sequence that you eat in as well..
eat sweets first not last..
so you body has time to digest them better
at start of meal.
I cannot understand at all , how any of the foods for any of the
doshas could ever bee seen as unhealthy.
it is all from all the food groups.
how you put it together, or prepare it is really where health comes
into play more so i would think,
reading in the book,pg 84 of the old one,
vegetables, :
he even made a comment under the vegetables to avoid,
that they were acceptable if included vata spices and oil.
if you were talking about the beans, adzuki beans are great,
and pinklentils too.
i grow mung bean sprouts :they are so easy to grow,
and mung bean is an excellent heavy metal detoxifier.
I do know that He told me once that we are always a form of all three doshas just generally predominantly one or a combo.
that to use your intuition and esp muscle testing to see if a food is good for you AT THAT MOMENT, since we all charge constantly.
I believe we are supposed to redo dosha quiz in about 6 months after starting, then recheck it from time to time.
when you do first quiz you are also supposed to answer questions not just how you are now,
but how you have been in past many years..also.
since you actually may be an entirely different and/ or combo
excepting current level of health balance which might be masking your true dosha.
he told me that they are GUIDELINES.
esp when i asked about a nut i was supposed to avoid,
that i love, he said just have a very few now and then...
the bottom line is to not worry about creating a rigid diet for yourself..and making yourself a policeperson ...
eat with good knowledge about what is best for you..
just because you are not pitta dominantly , doe not mean you are not pitta at all ...
a % of you IS pitta do you see?
it is like a recipe... x % of you is vata, x %of you is kapha, and x %of you is pitta.
when Andreas gets back ,
ask him to elaborate on this for you ..
since i am certainly not he,
and he knows exactly what he means and how to explain it
whereas i might be missing the target myself in understanding
and/or explaining 8)
hope this helps
