Hello,
I am not sure if I have lupus, it is an autoimmune disease,
it runs in our family. I have had SEVERE dry eyes, which then
moved into the lungs. also the throat. I was dying from this...
I have LYME disease, and never ever had dryness problems, or sickness from the sun until I went OFF my
Antibiotics for lyme disease. I had a relapse, and got these autoimmune type symptoms.
When I went back on
Antibiotics for lyme these symtpoms started to go away. I am not sure if lyme is the cause of it, I think so, as lyme I think was lowering my immune system very much, so the autoimmune became active? not sure.
Have you been checked for lyme disease?
Here is a site.
www.lymenet.com
You need to find a LLMD, a lyme literate MD, you can talk about this on the site.
Also, check out these sites.

Good luck, these sites may help.
From what I have studied about autoimmune like diseases,
I think they might be a virus you are born with, and when
you get older and your immune system gets lowered for
whatever reason, be it candida, lyme, stress, allergies
to foods, toxic bowel, or whatever else, the autoimmune
like disease comes out.
I believe this because lupus runs in our family, and my Nana
had it, she was on predinsone for years, and it controlled it.
I have lyme disease, and now have lupus symptoms...
and they say that if you have lyme disease and are put on
prednisone, it is VERY dangerous because prednisone lowers
the immune system and the lyme infection gets deadly. Sometimes, if you are working closely
with a Lyme MD, he may put you on a tiny dosage of prednisone,
as well as the
Antibiotics for lyme, and monitor you.
Hope this helps,
take care,
Gehna
