Personally, I wouldn't cloud your son's interpretation. I would ask him what he thinks because that is infinately more important and valuable than any externally given account from a different vantage point.

Tell him that we are really just reflections of light - holograms - and that this whole reality is only an illusion designed to trick our minds into thinking that the perceptions we are experiencing are real. The electricity in our bodies defines the senses that we experience, thus, these experiences that we perceive are interpreted as "physical" and "material" objects. The reality is that we are just one consciousness, we never left - we never went anywhere. We've always been here. We just change our perceptions.

I wanted to jump in on this minutes after you first posted yet I watched and waited.

Like Lapis I agree with Justin's version of reality and illusion. I also believe sometimes that children understand this more than we do as we become re-enlightened to that which we already knew.

My two boys 4 & 6 are constantly going within themselves and often remind me to do this by encouraging me to meditate, pray and talk to God. When my oldest was 3 1/2. He would see I was depressed over my divorce although I tried to never show them... he would comfort me by saying "Daddy listen to God talk to your brain... You know that God made all the trees (people)they are all different some big, little, fat, skinny and he loves them all!"

Statements like that come from my kids whenever I forget or start to lose my way. Ask what your child thinks and indulge in what may seem silly at first. Once your child trusts you he will open up and not be afraid to share his version of truth. It can be wonderful!

I obviously caution against looking down on children as inferior or unenlightened. Good Luck or rather "Good Truth!"

I don't have to worry about inmposing my temporary "truths" (Yes, I admit, they change, often...) onto my 4 year old daughter.

When I'm wrong, she always lets me know and explain to me how it "really is" (from her perspective).

I told my 7 year old niece that we are made of the same stuff as the stars in the sky and the icky pollution in the river. That we are here to get better, and that some people believe better to mean being nice and kind, not getting mad, and to learn from our mistakes. I told her that some people think better means getting more than everyone else, being greedy, wanting to be number 1 at any price, stepping on people to get what they want, being greedy and bad. I asked her if that made sense and she said "sort of." So I told her to just try to be good and not to do anything to anyone that she wouldn't want to have happen to her, and that made made her happy.

I just came across your question from last year.

Hope it's not too late to respond.

I find this a very great question....

"How did God make people?"

I like the traditional answer to this question; 'God made, man,(&woman), in his own image."

From there we assume it means out of spirit.

Today, we can also say, God made people out of 'Consciousness'.

And like the Universe, which created an 'Astrological Universe', out of it's spirit or Consciousness, nature...

as it turns out, 'we' are all made of 'ASTROLOOGICAL NATURES'....

If you've ever read any good Astrology, and in fact, found your 'Sun Sign', millions of people, have found, 'wow, I am like that'....!

But, there's even more to it then that.....

We are not only Sun, souls or individuals, we also have personalities, and emotional natures, and intellectual capacities,...and physical attributes, and on and on...

Having been a Philosophy & Education major in college, I've not found any system of thought that captures,....exactly,... how each one of us,.....

are.....

like....our 'Astrology'....

The trick is that we are each an Astrological 'self', that is kind of beyond both the Western & Eastern Astrologys....

WE are that 'Sun Sign'....
but....
we're also a 'Moon sign',....and
we're also a Rising sign....
Venus, Sign,....
Mercury, Mars, Jupiter & Saturn signs....

When you add up each of the descriptions of our 'human nature's'..... you come up with that....

'thing'....

that God created....!

He created an Astrological.....Universe....

so, we shouldn't be surprised that he also created an Astrological Us!
