My 8yr old daughter has been suffering from re-occurent bladder infectons since she had been potty trained at the age of 3. Also daytime enuresis and constipation constipation has been 3 1/2 yrs now. She has had every test possible for the kidneys, bladder, and bowels, yet nothing was found. A little about my daughter: oldest of 5 and is very intellegent(all A's) but is always on edge-a constant worrier. She does not do well with change. Low self-asteem always thinks people are looking at her or talking about her. We are at the piont now where she has been on Antibiotics for about 5 months. Last year it lasted 7 months but usually every other month. Soon after the med is gone two days later the infection is back along with constipation,which I believe is causing the UTI's. She has become lazy in taking care of herself like she don't care any more. I'm tired of giving Antibiotics to her which obviously are not working. She does not believe it will get better, for in the past she has been let down because of a time-period from atleast 1-2 weeks that gone by with normal habbits. Just when she thought she was in the clear it was back. It breaks my heart to see her hurt along with any child. What I am asking is have you heard of this with other children? If so what was done or what can I do to correct this? Thanks a million! ~Net mom of 5~
