I have been reading over this entire website for days - I love the wealth of information but am almost overwhelmed! I am 31 and have suffered from cystic Acne for years and my doctor wants to put me on accutane (which I am still considering because I am desparate). Those red, swollen bumps that seem to never go away!! ANY tips that might help with the appearance or healing would be so greatly appreciated! I eat very healthy and drink tons of water. Overall I consider myself very healthy. My only vice is that I LOVE coffee :( I would like to try some more natural alternatives but I do not even know where to start! Can anyone help me!! I have been on Retin-A and minocycline for a year and it seems like it is not doing anything at all. ANY tips that might help with the appearance or healing would be so greatly appreciated! The cleanses on this site are so intimidating and sound quite costly - does anyone have any tips for a more simplified cleanse that I could try? I am so overwhelemd by all the information on this site that I am lost! Thank-you so much in advance!

This is a reply to # 419,461Try a diet such as The Body Ecology diet by Donna Gates, then start a colon cleansing regime including colonics and shortly after this begin a series of Liver Flushes 3 weeks apart.
You can also try clay baths, sauna, rebounding (mini tramp), skin brushing and drinking lots of pure water.

I hope you can find an alternative for Accutane because of the side effects, cost, etc., but I will tell you that Accutane was the only drug that helped my son. He had NO problems but everyone is different. When I voiced my worries about the side effects to his doctor he told me, "Hey, I gave both my teenagers Accutane and they survived!" We laughed about it and my son started on Accutane the next day. Within 3 weeks he was completely cleared up. Unfortunately, the results did not last but for about six months after he stopped the drug. If you can find an alternative that works I would try it. The older I get the less drugs I like to put in my body (and his). Good luck.

This is a reply to # 419,461A good coffee alternative is teechino: www.teeccino.com. I won't lie and tell you that it tastes exactly the same but it isn't bad and it's as close as I can find to the real thing. A little pricey though...

I here ya! I'm 40 and had severe cystic Acne as well.
I came across a website 3 months ago that changed my
skin forever. Here's an excerpt:
