Here is a post I wrote recently at another site: (I know you people think I forge everything...but whatever...take it for what it's worth...if someone wanted to put money on it I'd give you the link.)
I find it really humorous how you evolutionists stick to the goofy notion that natural selection had anything to do at all with the evolution of species. I’ve already taught you that natural selection wasn’t needed at the beginning of life, and it’s not needed now when creatures change phenotypes. So, you’re hoping to pawn off the idea to folks that natural selection somehow got its start in some other hypothetical time in the middle….which I don’t buy.
But did you know that back in 1967 that about 100 finches were taken from a place called Laysan Island to another island called Southeast Island…which was about 300 miles away? The Southeast islands are a group of 4 islands, all within a radius of about 10 miles of each other.
With human help, the finches (which were all physiologically the same) were placed on the islands. When the birds were checked in 1984 they were already found to be physiologically different than the Laysan finches from which they descended. Particularly their bill shapes. The bills on the birds on the North Island were deeper and shorter than those on the Southeast or Laysan Island. The birds on the Southeast Island had longer bills than on all the rest.
So how did these chages happen so quickly? Interestingly these birds weren’t checked before 20 years…which is interesting…but are you suggesting that these changes came from random mutations via natural selection? Surely you jest! You think those changes could have spread that rapidly? (if that’s not rapid enough for you then keep reading)
Obviously I have a different opinion. It’s based on common sense – of which you have none of, evidently. I tend to think that these birds’ rapid change can be explained soley through a phenotypic change.
Most likely as each group of birds made their new homes on the separate islands, they each came to rely on different diets. These diets would have helped SHAPE their bills and jawbones of EACH INDIVIDUAL BIRD (similar concept to a body builder). Another option would be that the new environment threw an internal switch, which could have changed the phenotype. (At this point I can’t say which version it was because I don’t have a degree in biology or genetics like many of you do.)…but regardless there was absolutely NO NEED FOR NATURAL SELECTION!
And like I said, the physiological change would have happened quickly on an individual basis…..there was just not enough time for your version to work. Ultimately this is a new bird, with new structural characteristics – and this is enough to qualify for your version of evolution….and it probably happened very more or less instantaneously!
It turns out that the bill structure in finches is highly adaptive, depending on the nitch that the bird fills. A bird with a large bill is able to crack seeds easier, while birds with smaller bills feed better on smaller, softer seeds. But depending on their given environment, these birds can change from one adaptive type to another.
My contention all along is that there is an extreme LACK of these types of experiments. And if they ARE happening – they certainly are not reported on neo-darwinists’ websites, and they’re not reported on the NEWS! Now why should that be? But it’s nothing but SILENCE...that makes me wonder what kind of nonsense these kooky scientists are up to if they’re not looking at actual science!
And are you evolutionists still clinging to your beloved GRADUALISM? Is it still your night-night blanket? Tell me, how long do you think it took the polar bear to evolve its thick skin and white fur from the brown bear? Do you think it took thousands of years like the following article says? I don’t. I bet bears are just like finches! And I bet the house-mouse is just like the bear! And I bet the bear is just like that fish who grew his eyes back in 8 days. And I bet that fish is just like humans who are able to fight off Montezuma's revenge without waiting a million years for a random mutation! And you know why???? It's because that’s what COMMON SENSE SAYS – that we all have Wisdom and information residing in our genomes.

It’s either one way or the other in this life – it cannot be BOTH! Our life is either an Almighty Accident or it’s not. Either the information is in the genome or it’s not. Either life originated by freak accident or did not. Either Jesus died on the cross or He did not. For Heaven’s sakes, people, draw a line in the sand for once and take a stand. Stand up for something righteous as opposed to standing up for the atheist-dominated scientific establishment! Going down that road will lead you down a road you don’t want to be on! S

The first event that the Grants saw affect the food supply was a drought that occurred in 1977. For 551 days the islands received no rain. Plants withered and finches grew hungry. The tiny seeds the medium ground finches were accustomed to eating grew scarce. Medium ground finches with larger beaks could take advantage of alternate food sources because they could crack open larger seeds.
In 1978 the Grants returned to Daphne Major to document the effect of the drought on the next generation of medium ground finches. They measured the offspring and compared their beak size to that of the previous (pre-drought) generations. They found the offsprings' beaks to be 3 to 4% larger than their grandparents'. The Grants had documented natural selection in action.

finches change phenotypes in 2 years
(Biology books consider any fossil that's dug out of the ground that shows a change in phenotype from an ancestor as "evolution.")....and their version of evolution requires RANDOM MUTATIONS via NATURAL SELECTION + thousands/MILLIONS OF YEARS worth of time.
