Hi! I just purchased The Makers Diet book yesterday & have pretty much read through it entirely. I am anxious to start the 40 day diet but need to wait for the supplements. I had a couple of questions:
1. Jordan recommentds allowing the whole wheat flour to ferment before making bread by combining it with equal parts water & letting it sit for at least 7 hours. Does anyone do this or do you just use the yeast & let it "ferment" for the normal couple of hours. What recipe would you use to continue making the bread then? (Most recipes don't call for the amount of water used to ferment the bread.)
2. Can anyone give me the price they pay for both for cow's meat & free ranging organic poultry that they have gotten from either organic farms or amish communities in the area? Just want to get an idea so I know how much to estimate for my budget (I checked out the local health food store & it was about $8.00 for just 1 boneless skinless breast).
3. Has anyone tried this program with children?
