Hi..I am on day 42 since beginning the Master Cleanse. I have been working with a holistic practitioner who has been guiding me thru and until the past week or so have been doing amazingly well and happy. I went thru 40 days of straight Master Cleanse, nothing else but water. I've lost 50 pounds, feel GREAT physically. My asthma, for any who wonder about that, has been reduced incredibly, however, is still present during excercise, like walking up hills. (I was taking Serevent twice a day and my inhaler 3-4 times a day before the MC) I am walking regularly now; before the
Master-Cleanse I couldn't walk a block due to no breath and intense back pain. I can garden, am doing anything I want to do and feeling very good in that way.
The last week of the cleanse was hard. I truly felt not-so-much energy, and I'd slowed down drinking the MC, down to one
quart or less per day, just really felt winding down....(my tongue had finally turned pink again tho!!! lol)And finally, two nights ago, my practitioner said I could start broth the next day.
I had broth yesterday, and ...I felt awful. I felt ...it's hard to describe, I had no energy, took a three hour nap and it felt "dead" when I drank it. (I put in the broth : ramps,(a type of wild leek), golden beet, parsnip, carrot and fennel, leaves and bulb, no salt)
By the end of the day, my breath was absolutely VILE, and I'd felt hungry all day, my stomach hurt, it was awful.
My utter wanting is to have some dilute fresh orange juice. Because I wasn't a vegan or a raw foodist before, my practitioner said I should start with cooked broth, because this is what I am used to...well..wry smile. I never EVER boil my vegetables to death, even if I'm making soup, lol. But anyway. I just wondered about other people's experiences and what they came off the cleanse onto.
Has anyone else had this experience? And if anyone is working with a practitioner, what have THEY recommended to start getting off after such a long cleanse?
Thanks...
Mari
