The one thing I find it hard to get my head around is Christopher Vasey advocating the use of cheese to alkalise. What's your opinion on that. I know he's not advocating all types of cheese .. Invincible
It's on page 82 of his book. He simply covers dairy products.
Lets be clear here. He would be doing a dis-service not covering this food group. Because a lot of people have been brainwashed into really believing that todays milk and other dairy products are good for you. So by providing the information, people can decide what would be the best course of action. Or a better way of looking at it, what's the least damaging....;-)
Lets you and I have a little chat.
The thing that has served me well in my learnings can be summed up thusly.
Every health book, Doctor, blood tests, and whatever else I've seen, read, used, eaten or swollowed....are tools.
You either learn to use these as tools, or they will use you.
When you read someone's book are you going to throw all of it away because you disagree with one perspective or idea this person has, out of the many they have given you? I know a lot of people who do just that. Simply realize that no one is going to get it all right. Except you.
No, I'm very serious about that. A person external to you, may help you. But can just as easily, do harm to you. At the end of the day, you must "feel" right with the decisions you make for your health. Otherwise, "Don't Do It".
They is right and they is wrong.
I can't tell you the number of times someone tells me they know what they're talking about. Ya know what? They're right. No, no, I mean they are right, for them or the people they've seen cured. For some reason however, they never think that even though we're the same, we can also be very different.
The average bowel tolerance for vit C is ~8 grams. Mine is >23. I have Lipo(a), so that makes sense. I'm the same as you....but different.
How bout people who believe eating organic and only vegies will solve and prevent everything? This is correct for almost everybody, unless you have a hereditary disease or have blown out an organ to a low efficency, such as your pancreas. Or your liver and gall bladder are so full you won't live the 3 years needed to take the slow boat to health. Do these people ever take that into account?
So tell me, how many people on this board understand that some people cannot, under any circumstance, metabolize low level acidic foods? That these people will need to check themselves for this and take counter measures. Either eliminate or reduce the percentage of acidic foods they consume or/and suppliment as needed.
Geez, don't get me started.
Oh, sorry bout that, I get carried away at times....;-)
