Greetings all,
I have just received over sixteen kilograms (twenty-two large jars) of organic, unsulphered blackstrap molasses, and am now planning a pH study over the coming weeks. I plan to abstain from solid food for the duration, although I think I will be consuming super-food and kelp along with the six-to-eight glasses of blackstrap molasses and lemon juice. (I am not sure if powdered kelp constitutes as being solid or not, so please correct me if I am wrong.) I am also considering juicing one whole pineapple each morning in the hope of dissolving any intrahepatic/gallstones I may have.
I am most curious about the effects of the above on pH, and I feel the only way to be certain is to self-experiment, testing saliva and urine pH each morning and monitoring progress as I go.
I do not foresee there being any problems, but I felt it wise to seek reassurance here in case anyone has any advice to impart or even additional suggestions prior to my starting the experiment…
Thank you.
Thank you for responding, Savagegrace…you certainly made me think!
The following statement of yours intrigues me: “…an acidic fruit becomes alkalizing due to the pulp content. Remove the pulp....remains acidic.” -- is this fact or opinion? It is certainly curious and I would be interested in reading more of this…
As of this moment I am considering two super-food drinks per day - one for lunch and one for dinner, so to speak; but if this involves digestion of any kind I may remove this possibility from my thoughts. It would do me a lot of good I feel, to halt digestion for a week or two, and considering the Sun has got his hat on once again, I do not expect “fasting” to be difficult. (Although, perhaps the super-food would balance my pH quicker… I am not entirely certain, but that is what makes it exciting!)
I have been taking kidney cleanse herbs for a month or two, so I can only assume my kidneys are as clean as can be. Yet, it may be wise to add the watermelon so as to ease passage of the removed waste.
Ah, so many possibilities! None more exciting than sungazing though, but that is a different matter (although surely related to health, balance, etc).
Thanks again for taking the time to reply and for offering suggestions.
Lee.
