Hi TeeCee!
I have impaired kidneys myself, so I've had to do tons of research into this.
When you're cleansing, it's important to occasionally give the kidneys a break. Yuo don't have to do a full cleanse if you don't have stones, but you do need to do some maintenence.
Best thing for kidneys is to drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet that is very low in animal protein and protein overall; no dairy; no overdosing on vitamins or minerals. A bit of electrolyte supplementing is fine.
That's the basic to-do list.
To focus on the kidneys a bit more, drink a
quart of unsweetened cranberry juice, or sweetened but a good brand - not reconstituted. This alkalinized the entire urinary tract, and keeps candida from giving you an infection or irritation there.
Drink parsley tea, or take parsley pills, or put a handful of parsley into the juicer to have with your carrot/apple juice. Parsley is a natural, gentle diuretic and helps the kidneys to flush.
Kidneys get impaired when the liver is impaired, as that means they get bombarded wtih toxins they are not designed to excrete in urine. The emotions that stress the kidneys is stress in general, but also mostly worry - worry of loss, fearfulness in taking any kind of action, fear of consequences, that kind of thing.
Hope that helps! :)
