If you are physically addicted or socially influenced you have to decide why you drink and what your willing to give up to continue on the road of alcohol! And your right it is a toxin! Check out the site www.lenair.com, because the woman whose site that is actually removes addictions. No meetings or classes or willpower. She works on an energetic level and removes the underlying causes of addictions. Yeah, I know it sounds pretty out there, but I know people who have seen her and just don't drink anymore. It isn't a long program or anything, just three visits...usually over the course of a week or two. Anyways, check it out and see what you think. Can't hurt. Add up the years of costs for therapy, rehab, detox, alcohol, job losses, divorce, family estrangement etc. That's cheap?
If you know of anything that is guaranteed, I am sure everyone would love to hear of it. I just know people that it worked for. And that the initial success rate for this program is about 90% at time of end of treatment...not enough follow up for more data. They used to have a guarantee that gave a repeat treatment for people who didn't have sucess with the first one, discontinued it since no one ever used it in all the years it was available.
Excuse me if I thought people were interested in hearing about more than AA and the miracles of willpower! Keep on keeping on, I'm sure a few people will be helped in the usual ways.

there are a lot of "know it all" lunatics in this world...that will claim that for "x" amount of dollars they can do all sorts of good stuff for you... but if it takes money... forget it... it aint gonna work... it's a scam...
nothing will work unless "you" want it to work... you will not quit until "you" are ready to quit... and if you are a true alcoholic of the sort that i was then that might take awhile... but when you have tortured yourself enough with the "wonderful life of horrible living"... whey you are "sick and tired of the high cost of low living"... and are ready for help... then you might want to try talking to another alcoholic... and you will find someone that understands exaclty what you are going through... AA is a simple program that is not after your money... it's free... and you can find AA meetings all over the world... it works in 100% of the time for those that want it... try it for 90 days... try going to 90 meetings in 90 days and after 90 days if you are unsatisfied... then there is the standard "all your misery back refund"...

This is a reply to # 377,276That is a bold statement; "if it takes money... forget it... it aint gonna work... it's a scam..." There are a lot of things that take money and work... Growing human beings may cause all kinds of problems and some of those problems can be fixed with money and a good doctor/practioner. There are people in this world with special abilities to heal people and if they charge people then that doesn't make them scam artists...that makes them a doctor. If doing good paid better and doing good helped the people pay for the needs of their family then more people would be doing it. I am not saying the healer who is offering this treatment is legitimate but if healer says they have a 90% success rate then it sure would be worth looking into. I am a little curious that the original poster has not responded to any of the inquiries though. Maybe it was just spam from a scam artist? I hope nishana will tell us more.

i admit that was a very general statement... but i for one am fed up with... and sick and tired of people claiming to be something they aren't... mechanics claiming to be mechanics that aren't mechanics at all... doctors that claim to be doctors... lawyers that claim to be lawyers... teachers that claim to be teachers... preachers that claim to be preachers... when beneath it all their only "motive" is "money"... there was a time as i recall when people were devoted to their calling... today that calling in most cases is merely the call for wealth... and damned be the ones that get in the way of our climb to the top... society seems to be getting sicker... more and more people willing to cut your heart out for a buck... it seems harder and harder for me to find legitimately sincere people in any profession... but i have... and they are out there... so you are right... but one must be very cautious/prudent in dealing with "so called" professional people...
so yes... it was a bold statement... so let he that is without sin cast the first stone...

This is a reply to # 377,287Me without sin? hehehe... not by a long shot... and I love you dudette...really I do... I admire your standing up for your truth. I make some bold statements myself. I am just a little more open minded about this particular disease... You found what works for you and I believe AA does work for about 10% of the people who enter its doors but I can't believe that God doesn't have a plan for the other 90%? I also believe that God may be working through this particular healer to reach some of those forgotten in the statistics but I could be wrong? If they really have a 90% success rate then it would certainly be a miracle for those who it helped? If it is a scam then it is but I would like to hear from somone who went through it before I label it. I have watched alcoholics drift in and out of AA but when they are out, they need to work on themselves or they may be thrown back into drinking again? If they don't start loving themselves , then alcohol may start looking like thier best friend again? Maybe this healer changes that negative self-loathing alcoholics often have?
There is a difference between being open minded and foolish though...
