Thanks for taking the time to respond!
I have experienced a number a symptoms that developed after
root canal treatment. Namely - bitter/ sour taste from the tooth. Some pain though its best described as a dull ache in the jaw above the tooth. Tinnitus in the ear on the side the
root canal was done. Some tingling in that area and also a feeling of warmth (inflammation?)on that side of my face. After retreatment, apiodectomy and finally extraction the symptoms have persited. I am convinced that I am battling a chronic infection of some sorts since I feel under the weather alot of the time and have periods of fatigue. These symptoms are also much worse when I am stressed, overworked or tired. Since the tooth is gone I concluded that the infection was in the socket/jaw bone. After persuing conventional routes (xrays, CT scan all negative) I had a cavitat examination (at great expense) . This showed poor healing and poor bone density in the extracted area - indicating an infection.
The treament plan included cleaning the cavitation, removal of another root canelled tooth AND replacement of all
Amalgam together with vitamin and mineral infusions. This would cost me £4000!!!
At the moment I don't have the confidence to proceed - even if I could afford it. He said that cleaning the cavitation may well go into the sinus!! plus it may take away the teeth either side of the extraction. I didn't like the sound if that at all.
My symptons persist and I have no idea what course of action to take now. Any advice would be appreciated.
