The wonderers asking in the 'Blood Type O' forum thank you for your thoughtful and quick responses.
A few years ago I met a woman at a Weight Watchers meeting. She told me that her (slender) husband had an eating habit that combined vegetables with protein/fat; and vegetables with starches/sugar; but never starches/sugar with protein/fat. I imagine he didn't overeat often, too.
(The Weight Watchers program, itself, limits the starches/sugar, and the protein/fat we take in. But it's a little less obvious than the straight out 'keep the starches/sugars away from the protein/fats.')
Also, anyone who has read my earlier posts, knows that I really like the instinctive and/or muscle-testing approach to well-being. This ISN'T because I think I can 'get away with' laxness!
I really believe that the body can and will tell us what we need and don't need, if we ask. But I also think we need to actually DO it...TEST our foods in some way that is independent from our habits and desires. And that takes a major effort. It is time-consuming to test everything in our cupboards, and everything we bring home. But we may need to spend that time and effort.
And we may need to EMPHASIZE the 'blessing' of our foods, etc., if that's what we want to try...at least, at first.
I think those who say grace over their meals may be on to something. But, if we haven't been doing this, perhaps we need to make a bit of a 'ceremony' of it, in order to separate ourselves from our 'let's eat' habits.
Perhaps it is for the emphasis of a 'ceremony' that Dr. Emoto leads groups to read poetry to bodies of water.
I've been 'blessing' my food, family, and home, as well as sending goodwill and well-being around this world. But, it's so non-satisfying to not see any feedback!!!
Is it working?
I know, I know, it is, but I have to be patient. (I actually do feel a bit better for it...but I want fireworks!)
Meanwhile, back to basics, as well.
Thanks, everyone.
