as an interesting sidenote to the occurance of 3rd teeth i thought i might share with you a experience of myself. about my teeth.
when i had my head injuries pretty much all my bottom teeth and many of my top ones
were knocked incredibly loose.. it was a very frightening thing for me
i was scared to even touch them
they were so loose i didn't want one to just fall out
i had no medical ins and no dental ins.. and i knew if i did go see a dentist anyhow they would probably pull them all and i certainly didn't want that.
over the next decade in have jstu doen aloto of positive energy thinking and gentle gum massage and swishing with
Seasalt water
and keeping my food in smaller bite sizes and only chewing with the teeth that were strongest.
it has now been 12 years since then and finally they are all solidly back in place except about 2 that still have a light wiggle
i am so glad now and i think it gives proof that often the body can heal itself if given the time and space to do so.
i am happy to report at age turning 46 soon,
i still have all my teeth/ except one wisdom which i do believe i might have kept if knew a few things i know now.
BOB has my sincere empathy since who knows what led to his situation.
a overzealous doctor when he was a younger man
or even if still younger and had a parent initiate it due to dr. advice and medical insurance...
whatever his cirumstances were.. i cannot imagine the pain he must have endured to have such processes done..
many others have had such extremes done. and often by docs who are good at making patients feel there isno other recourse
we all grow and learn.
my ex husband was diagnosed with peridontal gum pockets far too deep to grow back and was told to get them pulled and dentures.
his father suggested an alternative and he then told his dentist that he was going to forgo the dentists advice for immediate surgery
to this day his gums have grown back against his teeth
and he has had no further problem in the 18 years since then.
he is about 58 now.
and still has all of his original teeth but the wisdoms which were pulled when he was in the service as a young vet
there was span of time and i suspect that BOB might have been part of that time frame,
when dentists routinely did up to 14
root canals at a time on children ! often with extremely litle anesthesia.
it is still a very lucrative practice and fortunately many dentists are now being reviewed and even sued for this extremist activity on children..
it is my understading that BOb is about 30 years old so 15years ago he would have been a minor child and this is the time frame that the brunt of such activity was going on..
since i did alot of baby sitting/ i saw some kids very young literally have their front teeth cemented
to wait for them to fall out
and it seemed to be it was really just to put $ in docs pockets. many of these dentists are being sued by insurance companies for ins fraud in the current days.
food for thought
