Aggh Interesting
Alot is said about how unhealthy it is to go into any dental office that uses Mercury!!
But if your options are low and it costs too much for A MERCURY FREE OR BIOLOGIC DENTIST what do you do , right?
Well one thing is protection, I myself can't afford a Biologic dentist and there are no Mercury free dentists where I live but I am still gradually having my
Amalgams replaced with Composites.
So I take precautions like oral chelators eg Pca and DMSA before I go in for work so that the Mercury will bind to these rather than me? Also activated charcoal tabs and chlorella tabs to bind any Mercury in the digestive tract.
Alot depends on the dentist too , The dentist replacing mine has been going many years and is very experienced and thorough.
It's only costing me about $125 per filling, and I have 5 to do, done 2 already so I have 3 to go.
My dentist understands the volatility of Mercury as I have told him to try and take care. He has cold water spray and suction and has an assistant, so I suppose it's not too bad. He also slices as much of the old filling as possible rather than drill (this reduces alot of the vapour.)
AS for your case I think I would definiately have a Composite filling put in your cavity ,don't risk Mercury!
AS for your remaining
Amalgams alot depends on your financial situation , Can you afford a Mercury free or better still Biologic Dentist?
If not weigh up you options , most importantly take your time and don't put yourself at any risk.
If you decide that you might go to an ordinary dentist , like myself you will be doing this at your own risk!!!.At the most basic make sure he/she uses cold water spray and suction while removing, and make sure to take the supplements and have an intravenous vitamin c after the procedure.
Best of luck and May you prosper in good future health.
