Would Jesus be against gays & lesbians wanting to make a life long commitment? Would he say marriage was ok or would he say that a civil union would be more appropriate? Would Jesus even care? Would Jesus condem them to hell becuase they loved someone of the same sex?
I think he would say "let love be". I think he would forgive and accept them with loving arms. I think Jesus would welcome them in every way. I don't think Jesus would be obsessed with what they were doing behind closed doors any more than he is obsessed with what heterosexuals do during their most intimate moments. I think Jesus would love us all no matter what.

This is a reply to # 344,031You are absolutely right. These poor people have been mocked and persecuted throughout history. Enough is enough. They should be allowed to enter into a union that is (sad to say) recognized by our society as legal.
I'm so glad I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where at least people get it. It's normal and natural here, and no one blinks an eye seeing people of the same sex, obviously in love. Even in Europe, it's also completely accepted.
Only in America the land of the free....jeesh. Damn puritanical mind-set.

That was his plan. If its not his plan guess what its your or theirs. He won't bless no matter how much they love each other. According to God, Jesus His love is pure. That means the other is tainted no matter what they say or feel. Sorry but I know my word and that is not right! They have a right to choose that lifestyle, yes but to make it law is asking for trouble. I know what will happen. They will try to sue preachers cause they won't marry them and yep the preacher will end up in jail. Why? Cause this nation has lost its morals. Its not anything goes with God and when man chooses to go that route he will also pay the price. Sorry but I have to share my view too. No offense personally!

I am not afraid of a gay person their human not beasts. I just think God created man for woman and woman for man. I don't belittle them as individuals. I know alot of nice gay people but I dont' agree with their lifestyle but I don't agree with my kids lieing or ya know stuff like that!

the bible was translated many times over. and with that wording can be twisted. you would know this if you looked into translating modern languages today. and the bible written in arameic is a dead unspoken language. how could you have faith in the fault of human translation?
i believe that if your thoughts are pure you feel a peaceful rest in your heart.

We try and do that sometimes around here.I have some really cool friends who are into all the history, translations etc.. I mean they have thousands of books. Their house looks like a library. I love to study with them though cause they know so much I don't! I think we are in school as long as we are living.

Those who obey him and believe in him are "His Children" "Children of the Light" etc...But to those who refuse to believe and accept Him will be cast into the eternal Lake of Fire. Go ahead...keep reading. Here we go picking and choosing scripture to justify our case. Read a little bit of Genesis and see where it says that Homos are completely wiped out in Sodom and Gomorrah for their sins and he tells Abraham, Lot and Lot's wife not even to look back at them. What happened to Lot's wife when she did look back? There's no shades of Grey when it comes to the word of God...it's black and white.

This is a reply to # 344,195I know Jesus, Jesus is gay. We always knew he was gay, but came out at age 15 to his relatives and friends. One guy in our group gave him a hard time for a little while but since nobody else did he smartened up and learned to look past the "gayness". His sister Maria, luckily is totally hetero, cuz she's one hot tamalé.
Word of God may be absolute, (making the wild assumption there is a god), but human interpretation sucks the bag. This is why there are hundreds of sects each claimimg to be the correct version, and having no doubt about it.
