I had posted about a week or so back that I had developed a skin rash that had found its way to several parts of my body including my trunk (the most prevalent), my arms, my neck, scalp by neck, back of thighs, and back.
Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that whatever fungal infection I had on my skin is now almost completely gone.
I want to share this for anyone who might develop an odd rash. I had already been eating a mostly candida diet when I developed my rash. It started out on my belly with one main lesion, kinda like ringworm but no where near a perfect circle. Then I developed a second in that area and then they started appearing in area like pant waist line, tank top arm line, bra line etc... My doctor diagnosed it as ring worm but because the lesions were so irregular and sometimes just bumps I wasn't convinced. I had ringworm as a child but it would be ONE definite ring somewhere like my arm or leg with a definite dry patch in the middle. He had first suggested a homeopathic treatment from ringworm and if that wouldn't clear it up to use the prescription he wrote out for me (I checked and the prescription would have cost between $90 and $120. dollars). At first I was tempted to use the prescription (until I heard how much it would cost) because I wanted to rid myself of this persistant "yuck" asap, so I decided to visit my healthfood store and do some research. I could not seem to figure out exactly what I had but it was definitely a fungal infection of some kind. And it definitely got worse before it got better.
Luckily at the healthfood store, I ran into a friend and showed her my rash on my belly and she said she had had the same thing and didn't think it was ringworm. A guy she knew had had it too and used a cream to clear it up. So she showed me the cream, it was simply Camo Care Soothing Cream. I was like "this cream?" and she said "yeah, it worked immediately." The kicker is that it has caprylic acid in it.... BINGO!!!! I was determined to clear this up so I purchased an internal anti-fungal with caprylic acid, grapefruit seed, pau d'arco, tea tree oil and I am excited to say that my rash is 97% gone and it was quick. The cream definitely started working immediately, the next day I had seen improvement.
I will continue taking the current anti-fungal (I am at the beginning of the second bottle) and will probably move over to a different internal anti-fungal because something is telling me it would be a good idea to try the Garden of Life Fungal defense... But I find that the cream works for other things too. I even put it on my dogs.
For some reason, I was kind of bummed when what she showed me was a simple cream. I guess I expected the remedy to be something specifically created for what I had. But this unassuming little tube of cream is really powerful and I am so incredibly grateful and just wanted to share my experience.
I hope it helps someone!!!!
