Hi Suzy
- I know soy is touted all over the forum as bad, but honestly, I have had no bad reactions from it. I do, however, get bad reactions from rice milk, goat milk, organic cow milk, coconut milk and almond milk. W/o soy milk I am milkless (not an option when trying to get protein shakes in). It is possible that one day, the bad press on soy will turn again, perhaps. There seems to often be a tidal wave to the "this food is good, no, it's bad, no it's good again" things. I am so much healthier since I switched to soy. I am not trying to go against what you, Shelley, and others have said about soy, but maybe, just maybe, if all the other things are even worse for someone (like me, because of allergies for example), that soy may be an ok alternative, rather than evil incarnate. I know there is tons of literature on it, but even after reading it, it didn't sound all THAT bad to me. . .maybe I will regret it and become all over-estrrogened, but if you have no other options. . .
Anyway, just wanted to put that out there as simply another recovering candida sufferer with a different (not better) opinion, in case others are in my same boat with the other milk options.
