Basically, the deal with teflex started when folks who cooked with non-stick bakeware and frying pans who had parrots, had their birds DIE from the gases emitted in high heat cooking...its a known fact that birds, which have a much more sensitive lung system can easily be killed by these fumes--for years i havent used teflon in anything, but when i got my dehydrator, i too got some teflex sheets cause the temperature you are using is much much much lower than the gas emission point--i also use it in a well ventilated room in the basement away from my parrots...
women working in the teflon factory has a much greater chance of birth defects--some of them horrific...but dupont denies it...as usual. they basically say its at the smoke point of oil that causes the gas emission...leaving a pan on the burner, or leaving a waffle iron on too long...
i think at 110 you are fine--but ALWAYS leave the windows open or use in a well ventilated area to be on the safe side.
