I know as vegetarians we are worried about b-12.
I don't really like to eat seaweed and alfalfa sprouts,
and i'm lactose intolerant so i can't drink milk, and I found a great alternative to milk and meat.
Plus tofu, and soy products will block the absorptions of minerals so I don't eat tofu either.
I've found my remedy! I looked at websites saying to eat fortified food, like cereals,etc. I can't really eat cereal too, so this is what i've found!!
It's an "ORGANIC FORTIFIED BROWN RICE" beverage that has the same percentage of b-12,vitamin D,maganese,potassium,calcium,,etc as a regular 2% milk sold at Safeway.
It's lactose free,gluten free,soy free,etc.
I've been drinking this the past week and It's really awesome!
I like the taste better than milk. I think because I enjoy eating rice. Those who aren't a big fan of rice I'm not sure if you'll like it. But as for me I'm addicted.
I bought it at WHOLE FOODS. They have different brands, and the brand that I got,,,can't remember from the top of my head...but if you want to know let me know.
You get 3 in 1. Calcium, b-12, vitamin D just like a regular milk.
