Hiya, only one answered from me - but its still an answer!
Try to find blanched hazelnuts. Here in the UK waitrose sell them. Th skin is what attracts the mould (and harder to digest) so this makes the blanched variety perfect. Same with almonds.
I find these in the Baking ailse of a supermarket. Most nuts sold on the baking ailse are cheaper than the normal 'snack nut' section. Thats a good tip!
The blanched hazelnuts actually taste better too, less bitter than with the skins.
Problem is I buy a bag which is susposed to last, but end up eating them all in minutes.
