I applaud you for referencing the liver's role in this, jhan. That's where all of this starts in respect to Candidiasis, and the vast majority of other ailments, for that matter. Good for you to mention that here.
Jhan, I have wanted to take Ginger for a long time. I've read about all of the good stuff with this herb. The only thing that's scared me away from it is that so many of these herbs contain the dangerous Aspergillus Niger mold strains. Ginger, for whatever reason, seems to attract this dangerous mold above and beyond what most others do.
What I'm looking for personally, Jhan, is an herbal company that can confirm that their products have gone through an FDA regulated facility. Unfortunatly, I know that where I live a vitamin company says that they do this, but everyone that I know employed by the company tells me that isn't the case.
So how do you find a company that ACTUALLY DOES send their herbs through a facility with FDA sponsored qualifications. That's the big question for me. All of these websites offering "Fresh, hand picked herbs" are probably the most tempting to many people, but in my opinion, they could well be the most dangerous of them all to buy from. A "Freshly picked" herb likely means one that hasn't been inspected for these dangerous mold growths. I'd rather have mine straight out of a jar, that which can be purchased from a company that sends everything in to an FDA facility.
Unfortuantely, it would appear that any nutritional company can make the claim that they do exactly that, but that might not be the truth behind the scenes. That's why I'm stuck, really, when it comes to herbal use.
