Hi. There are many aspects to any diet. One is wise to consider mental, emotional and spiritual, as well as physical reasons one may want to consider a raw vegan diet.
I don't consider the raw food "diet" to be a "diet" in the sense of our socially conditioned understanding of that word. I see it more as nature's correct plan of nourishment. From that paradigm stems a profound understanding of our place of correctness within the total ecosystem...the universal energy dance. Part of a devine order if you will.
I think a good place to start for a person who is considering this way of life is to explore and see if it is a fit at this time on their journey. I think may people force themselves to do things that they may not be ready for and set them selves up for disharmony.
In order to see if this is a fit for a person, I have collected some of the best raw food article's on the web
here. I would encourage anyone considering this lifestyle to read through them and get a sense of what it is all about. Any new way of life starts with a paradigm shift and then following through is a simple adhering to an empowering belief system.
Once a person has set their mind to succeed, based on this new paradigm shift, then the how to's flow effortlessly to you. There is an increased synchronicity that occures our of cohherency. If one does not yet resonate with this diet then there will certainly be resistance to it. This is true of anything. It is nothing more than a mathc to one's inner mileu
A raw foods diet is not a quick fix nor should it be considered as only a healing diet. A more expansive and profound viewpoint encompasses it's true perfection. It is an efficient, nutrient rich, karmically superior way of sustinence that allows our bodies to entrain to their inherent perfection. By superimposing our will (ego) over top of the natural order, we deviate and create new possibilites away from correctness and delve into dis ease or disharmony. Look at our society and its current collective "health" status. Then look at the lifestyle that feeds this health. They are entwined. As a person becomes more and more aware, they begin to see the obvious corelation between cause and effect and thus open naturally (without resistance) to the raw foods paradigm. Resistance comes from undealt with emotional disharmonies( leading to addictions), lack of focus and clarity (unclear life purpose), social conditioning (buying into another's reality as your own), and several other incoherent states of consciousness. We project our realities from within ourselves and our outer world takes form from this inner world.
The point I am making is that coherency at all states of our existance are equally important. Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels of consciousness resonate like harmonics of the same note. In order to achieve higher states of awareness, health, etc, one must be mindful of these aspects and take action to balance each of them. From different mental state or emotional states, raw can look like a natural extention to one's consciousness or it can look like something only for rabbits.
