What have I done? Hmmm What haven’t I done? : ))
I don't know how much info to provide so...
I seen major progression in my fight against candida when I introduced kefir into my diet and when I began using enemas.
Anti-fungals: I stopped using these four months into my diet. The best were grapefruitseed extract, oregeno oil and garlic.
Diet:
I am entering my ninth month on the diet. This includes none of the following: wheat, gluten, dairy (except for kefir),
Sugar and fruit (except one green apple).
Kefir (ACTUAL grains NOT store bought):
**the kefir helped tremendously. I could feel a change in my body after starting it. I could feel my body becoming more healthy. At first I kicked myself for not getting it earlier, but c'est la vie!
**kefir preparation: I allow it to sit for 3 days prior to ingestion. This allows greater time for the grains to eat the milk sugars. It also produces greater quantities of vitamins such as the "B" folic acid.
**Before eating/drinking the kefir: I insert flaxseed "powder" in the kefir, then I add flaxseed oil (I also take primrose oil at this time). This makes a small bowl of cereal-like kefir :))
The fibre and oil are important as they allow the kefir to attach to the intestinal wall/colon better (we don't want this wonderful probiotic running through the system too fast! we want it to fight the nasties!)
Supplements:
Magnesium, lecithin, chlorella and spirlina, MSM, L-glutamine and zinc (to repair leaky gut, digestive enzymes and occasionally co-enzyme Q10, Vit C (occasionally a packet of emerg C) (the B vitamins I get in the kefir)
Pantethine (b vit) and molybneum (in the last 3 weeks)to rid my body of some of the Acetaldehyde (this is the destructive tissue eating by-product of chemicals, pathogens and
parasites and candida)
Ginkgo biloba and panax gingseng every 3 to 4 days
Oils include: halibut oil (occasionally), primrose oil, flaxseed oil, coconut oil and olive oil
Liver:
Livatone Plus (took for a month). It is used to get rid of pharmaceuticals and chemicals that trapped in your liver over several years.
For the past month I have been mixing a tbsp of o/o and lemon. I drink this mixture each morning. It helps to dump the old bile that is full of toxins (so my liver can produce more fresh stuff from the new o/o :))
Keep in mind the dumped bile stimulates peristalsis (sp?) required for bms and it kills yeast!
Water:
3-4 liters. Very Important to clean the body!!
Shelly's Fibre Drink:
1 tbsp of fresh lemon, 1 tbsp acv, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp flaxseed (seeds not powder) and water. I drink another cup of water immediately after and 2 more cups 20-30 minutes later (you don't want that fibre getting stuck anywhere and constipating you)
Bowels/Constipation:
oils at every meal, plenty of water, the o/o and lemon mixture
I use triphala which is a product that promotes regularity WITHOUT addiction, unless you use it for years. It also TONES the colon. It's great!
I also eat plenty of lightly steamed veggies at supper to add bulk and some fibre.
I drink 4 glasses of very warm water when I arise in the morning DIRECTLY BEFORE going to the bathroom for a bm. I ensure that I have a bm the SAME TIME EACH DAY!
Now that my bowels are working quite fine, why do enemas? For two reasons: we do not fully evacuate regardless of how "great" our stools are. Our intestine is very, very, very long and there are plenty of opportunities for feces and yeast to get stuck.
Secondly, as Shelley has made abundantly clear...following good bms there remains toxic residue along the colon wall that one can help remove with an enemas (keep in mind that anything left over in the colon is food for the yeasties)
Enemas:
ACV enemas. Occasional salt enemas and probiotic enemas every few days. These days, I do an enemas every day following my normal bowel movement.
Colonics:
I began doing one a week three weeks ago and will post above about them
Exercise:
This is very important to oxygenate the body and establish an unwelcome environment for the candida...
Self-help:
Meditation, long, long walks in nature, journaling...(whatever works for you). Without de-stressing the immune system will not allow the body to recover from candida, essentially it is not sufficiently strong...
Keep in mind that most of the posters probably know these points. Anyway, this is the protocol that is working for me...
