Hi Heartsong
Yes I have experienced similar swelling. Most bloating in the abdomen. At times but not as much in the hands and ankles. I am hypothroid also. I was able to relate the abdominal swelling to the decreased ability of digestion that came on a couple years ago. Just what I needed to add to all the other problems I had. I began bowel cleansing in Early winter and moved on to
Liver Flushing and
parasite exterminating and have noticed some releif. Finally something that has some results. Guess it wasn't in my head after all!! I always knew this to be true which is why I gave up on docs years ago except for my thyroid problem. Still have to rely on them till I get this under whack. But the nice thing is I am down from 2 grains of armour thyroid meds to 1 1/2. Not alot but to me significant as I have at times been up too three and four grains. I seem to flucuate a lot there for some silly reason.
If you can find a doc willing to look at your symtoms and your basal body temp along with the T3 thyroid tests, you may be able to rule out or in the throid situation and get treated for it till you get your body functionable. Treating does not cure it, but does help one deal with some of the most horrible symptoms.
Start on on the Bowel cleansing though first thing. To clear a quick exit route for any other cleanses and toxins. I will post some links for you to start reading. You won;t get well overnight. It is a long road to recovery but bless tis sight for being here to help us on our journey. Also be sure to read the forums for what ever cleanse you are doing as there is invaluable expeience out there. And lots of answers.
The links are not THE only answer, just a good getting started place that can peak your interest in researching your situations.
Hope any of this novel was helpful.
