I have been experiencing extreme anxiety within the past few weeks. Several life changes and experiences have occurred and my thoughts are consumed with this. I have previously been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
A few days ago discomfort has developed in the chest, stomach, and intestinal area. It feels like a burning/aching sensation, almost like adrenaline being poured out in those areas. I have also not had a bowel movement for over 24 hours.
Curently I am not taking anything for GAD disorder. Today I have been drinking chamomile and peppermint tea to help alleviate the stress and physical discomfort but it does not seem to be working.
Can someone please offer some alternative help on how to alleviate this discomfort? Thank you very much.

MoreThis is a reply to # 272,845Try EFT emofree.com (free tutorial download) it is similar to accupuncture but you tap the meridian points with your fingers as you focus on the feeling (anxiety etc.)If you need help with learning it I can coach you through it right over the phone. Most people start to feel relief within the first ten minutes ih they are doing it properly. I had panic/anxiety attacks that felt like a heart attack (got checked and was fine) but felt like I was going to die. EFT got rid of that horrible feeling faster than any herb I have ever tried. It really seems to knock out the root of the problem. Call if you need help.

EFT will work very well as long as the person is willing to be honest with themselves. They have to actually sit there and "confront" the anxiety. Show it that you can be "still" and prove that it is all just a way for the body to express what it needs.
The body has such great wisdom. Just be willing to listen and then act on it.
