I posted a question on the
Liver Cleansing site 5 weeks or so ago, and am still having big time problems with hives. Agnes answered me, and I've tried lots of things including what she said but nothing seems to be working. I hadn't really been
Liver Cleansing to start with, only had homeopathy drops to get rid of candida and chemical toxins, plus a course of nutitrional supplements. I started getting hives three weeks after starting that program and I hadn't done any enemas or
Liver Cleanses at that point. The hives started on the backs of my legs, then within a week spread throughout my whole body. I get them every night, during the night, I wake up scratching, they disappear, then I have another batch that come soon after getting up, which disappear during the morning, another batch usually comes around supper time, and die away again during the evening. I get them sometimes when I eat, but it doesn't matter what it is I'm eating. At lunch time, a can get a few but not badly. The worse ones are at supper time. I get them sometimes when I get hot doing something energetic. There are ones that start on my arms and shoulders as small red dots and turn into welts, which can be somewhat helped by
Bentonite clay applied in solution. There are ones that start on the back of my neck, travel up over my scalp and down my forehead into my eyes, which turn red and glazed, sometimes making my eyelids swell, and frequently at odd times, when I don't have other hives, I will find one of my lips will swell up, or suddenly my eyelids will burn and I will notice hives coming up on my eye lids which usually end up making my eye lids swell which drains down under my eyes. I've had strange feelings like something is draining from my ears or my nose and then I've got a sore throat and lost my voice for a few hours. Then there are hives that come everywhere that my clothes are touching me, or where my legs are on the chair or the seam of my pants touches my skin. That only happens when it is hive time, and not all the time.
Whatever is causing the hives seems to drain down into my legs, causing hives to break out as it passes downwards fading out in the upper parts of my body and travelling downwards, pooling around my ankles. Last night I got up in the night and the souls of my feet were swollen and it was painful to walk, but that was gone by this morning. I am beginning to get red marks permanently around my ankles now, and there is some swelling, not much, but I can feel that my ankles are sort of stiff.
Since mid May I've tried grapefruit seed extract, raw garlic, a massive CoEnzymeQ10 dose in case it is candida overgrowth, I've been juicing, taken probiotics, plant digestive enzymes, raw food, no grains, no protein, then I've changed to eating protein even eggs which I didn't used to eat (I'm vegetarian), and cooked food, I've drunk aloe vera juice,
Bentonite clay and psyllium husk shaken up morning and night, I've tried 3 liver cleanses, enemas, milk thistle, nothing seems to touch it. I think I've given everything a fair shot to see if it is working, but maybe not, how long do you think one should stay with a particular regime before it starts to work?
When other people get hives, are they permanent, or do they come and go like these ones? Is it possible it is a different gut bacteria that has become a fungus and maybe the candida program doesn't work for it? Whatever it is seems to be under my skin. It's very tiring to have burning and itchy hives coming up all every day and they are pretty ugly things. The only other thing I can think of is if I have become allergic to my thyroid medications which I have been taking for 23 years now. But if so, why do these hives have a cyclical pattern? I take my pill every morning and the hives usually are at their quietest during the morning. Do you have any ideas or suggestions to pass on to me? I really would appreciate them.
