Hello! My son is having the same problem. Our first surgery was when he was 3. They removed 3 polyps, he had 3 scars where they had already sheared off, and they left 1 sight that they were unsure of. Over the next 6 years he has has changed in b.m. from constipation to diareaha for days, low fever, stomach pains to not eating for 3 days. The doctors kept blowing us off because they said that juvenile polyps do not come back. After the last time he bled what seem like 1/2 cup of blood we changed doctors. We had another surgery today. They removed 5 polyps. 4 from his large intestines and 1 from his samll intestines. He also took a biopsy of his small intestine. Tomorrow we go back to the hospital for an x-ray of his small intestine. The doctor today told us that it is unusual for juvenile polyps to come back but they would keep a closer eye on him now. He is 8 years old now. They are also looking closer at him having Crohn's disease. Are you having trouble with doctors not wanting to scope your child because they are not suposed to come back?
