How much are you paying for your Maple and Lemons?
For me, in Northern California, USA:
$16 for 32 ounces of Shady Maple Farms Grade B.
$.90 for 4 lemons (it took 9-15 of these to make 2 days worth of juice)

This is a reply to # 261,243I paid just under $7 for 16 ounces of Grade B maple syrup... should have bought a larger container, though!
Lemons were on sale 2/$100 (normally $0.79 each... expensive!!!)
I originally thought this cleanse would be cheap, but now I realize that it isn't cheap at all. I guess it depends on where you live (MA here). - Re: At What Cost? Zoebess

This is a reply to # 261,243I am paying about the same for the maple syrup, organic NOW grade B, and I buy my lemons by the bag from Sam's and its under 4 bucks for a big bag. The limes are even a little cheaper. It takes 3 lemons a day to give me the 3/4 cup of fresh juice I need for daily lemonade...I do not use organic because they are far and few inbetween. At my health food store they never have maybe 3-5 lemons on display...

This is a reply to # 261,259Hmm Sams... I never even thought about that! We don't have Sams around here, but we do have a similar wholesale club. I'll have to check out that possibility as buying by the bag seems much more economical. How long do they stay fresh?

This is a reply to # 261,262Lemons can keep real well. I bought 3 bags for my cleanse so far and am on my last bag. I am not sure, I may just make my 30 days or may have to buy one more bag. They are fine. I keep them refrigerated in a veggie draw. I have had 2 bad lemons but they were going to be bad anyway most likely.

I had to go today for more, and took the advice to go to Trader Joe's...
As you surely know, the Berkeley Bowl is a madhouse, and my senses and brain are in hyper drive today...I couldn't deal with that scene.
I have noticed that Trader Joe's in Emeryville, by contrast, seems very docile on Saturday around noon. I also got a better deal on Syrup, though they made it up on Lemons.
