This was a cleanse recommended by my naturopath. Day 1-7, you have a morning shake that has 1 whole fruit, half cup fruit juice, 2 Tbs yogurt 1Tbs flax oil, 1 tsp lecithin, 5 drops liquid beta carotene, 1 Tbs protein powder
Then for those days, you eat mostly fruits and veggies, TONS of water, maybe a little fish.
Day 8-10 you do a bulking diet. Drink master cleanse lemonade when you get up, take flax meal or psyllium in H20 3 times per day, half hour after the MC, Mid AM, and Mid afternoon. For Breakfast you eat 3 unsulphured prunes, half grapefruit or other fruit, 1 banana, 2 apples or pears. Herb tea and water.
Mid AM snack is some fruit, veggies, or sunflower seeds.
diluted fruit or veggie juice, or herb tea.
Lunch and dinner consist of salad variety of veggies, and sunflower seeds, salad dressing has equal parts OO, ACV, and fresh squeezed lemon juice with any herbs or garlic. And 3
quarts of h20 daily, teas, 50% fruit juices etc.
Day 11-13
Juices and daily enemas, 3
quarts water and 2
quarts veggie juice, 1
quart fruit juice. (6 total quarts each day of fast.
Day 15-20 you gently reintroduce foods.
Day 15, drink
OO (Olive-Oil) and grapefruit, check pulses for citrus reaction. Homemade veggie soups, salads, teas, steamed veggies, fruit salad.
Day 16 Continue above foods, add yogurt, millet and tomatoes.
Day 17 Add yams, potatoes, winter squash, and citrus (barley for those not Gluten free)
Day 18 Continue above foods and add brown rice, legumes, peanut, soy, eggs.
Day 19, Continue above and add Wheat (if not GF)grains, corn, dairy
Day 20, add meat products, yeast, and nuts.
ALso do daily skin brushing, alternate hot and cold showers, castor oil packs, deep breathing,
Epsom Salt baths, massage, exercise etc.
I am also drinking alterative tea, some ACV, Pu Erh tea (love that!), a detox tincture etc.
Basically it is a small fast, but has a slow intro and exit, to try and minimize the body's shock reaction, and maybe establish some healthy habits in the process. It can also help identify
food reactions and allergies.
You are correct, it isn't
The Master Cleanse proper... it uses the
Master-Cleanse lemonade, and is supposed to be a bit gentler on your system.
