> Has anyone been on the fast long term?
Wow, Karen 47 days is pretty awesome... your message was posted over two weeks ago, I wonder how you're doing and if you're still reading at this site?
I have done the "Cleanse" three times in a year. First, 33 days, second, 21 days, third, 15 days. I'm male, 51, on disability for fibro and
Depression since '97. The first time (Master Cleanser), my fibro and other joint pains were, like, GONE in 6-7 days and this lasted about 3 weeks after I finished the cleanse. The next two attempts took longer to achieve that result and didn't last as long afterward. My greatest accumulation of knowledge about fibro and other related dis-ease (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) all points to over-acid body pH and candida overgrowth. Both seem pretty much ignored (in my experience) by the medical industry... probably they don't make much money from "healing" stuff.
Otherwise, long-term juice-fasting... Gary Young, of Young Living Essential Oils did a juice-fast FOR A YEAR... in his efforts to heal himself from crippling pain and paralysis after a logging accident and coma. The (so-called) health care 'establishment' that treated him gave a prognosis of: life-long pain & paralysis (and mostly ineffective drug treatment). Needless to say, he's now quite tremendously healed and the producer of some of the finest quality essential oils in the US. Gary Young's story can be read here: http://www.youngliving.com/about/profile.asp
I'm about ready to begin another cleanse effort... even 33 days didn't accomplish the tongue's "return to pink", so I know I wasn't "finished". Would like to hear about your experience.
