You need to do a
Colon Cleanse RELIGIOUSLY every day you fast! This helps to flush toxins quickly and is a critical step.
Increase your goal in doable increments. i.e., when you reach day 10 and are feeling good, go for 15, then review.
NEVER break a fast on a low! If you hit a low spot, or crisis, fast through until you are feeling well again before breaking!
Remember, the longer you fast, the longer you will need to dedicate to breaking your fast. Extend the break one day for every four days fasting.
For a fast over 20 days, please know that you can experience some intense metabolic changes (for example, I lost handsful of hair for about two months after my 60 day fast last summer--it grew back...). I highly recommend you enlist the support of a natural health professional who understands the principles of fasting to supervise a very long fast. I was ALWAYS glad my excellent naturopath was on-line!
