Hey Hezcatt, as I read your message yesterday, I had to look twice at the author's name to make sure it wasn't me who wrote it. I kept wanting to reply but didn't get a chance till now.
I, too, meant to start the cleanse on the same day you did, but by the end of the day I broke down and ordered Singapore style rice vermicelli. I'd been craving it for the past few days and by the end of the day I asked myself, "Do I want to keep craving Chinese food during the whole cleanse, or should I get it over with now?"
And I'm glad I got it over with. And I look forward to another order of it sometime after the cleanse!
I, too, am on the tail end of being sick. Congestion was in my head, blocking my ears, partially due to having driven up and down a mountain highway and my ears wouldn't fully unplug for 2 days!
I, too, am on my 3rd cleanse. Well, my 3rd "big" one (big for me is more than 3 days). I'm aiming for 7, and then will decide if I want to go longer.
I was most successful on my first cleanse, too (I lasted 10 days), and on my second one I was more active (I went 7 or 8 days). I remember I went downhill skiing on the day I was coming off the cleanse and felt so energized.
AND I eliminated most of the caffeine in my life, at the time of my first cleanses (which were within a couple months of each other).
But then I got back into caffeine in the past year or so while I was staying up late studying. The turning point that made me drop coffee this time around was getting the flu over the holidays. Then I was stuck with major headaches as a result, and I'm thinking, "I hope I can stay off coffee coz I sure don't want to go through this pain again!"
AND... like you, this time around I, too, have bought an electric juicer. Actually I bought it last year for my fiance when he did his first cleanse. Yes, it sure is a LOT easier than the old "hand-crank" method. I kinda enjoyed the old method, mind you, but this simple machine is a real time saver.
At this moment, I have no cravings, but I'm sipping my way through a cup of Traditional Medicinals laxative tea right now, so it's kinda taking my desire for food away. Plus I'm still full from having had a lemonade mixed with P&B less than an hour ago.
I did the salt water flush yesterday and this morning. Yuck. I don't know why I hate them so much this time around. I didn't mind them last time, a couple years ago. I hope this tea works just as well.
I'd like to meet your best friend, the mint tea. I just might invite one of her sisters over from the grocery store tomorrow!
