The Christian Bible contains holy scriptures of the Christian Religion/Faith.
The King James Bible is probably the best known bible edition.
King James 1 was under political pressure. James purpose was to unite warring factions with one common Holy Bible using contemporary language, King James edition of the Bible was printed in 1611. King James Bible version was not altered for 250 years and has been credited with many words and phrases used in modern day English language such as an eye for an eye and God forbid.

This is a reply to # 2,462,640The Holy Bible consists of 66 Books. There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament.
From the very first chapter to the very last there is a wealth and vast amount of information that can complicate the learning of the bible, especially for a newcomer or someone who has a feeling of receiving a calling from God.
It is my intention to post small postings from the books of the bible in a less complicated manner for easier reading so no one feels overwhelmed. It is less complicated to get to know the bible by reading small pieces of information at a time which is spread over time.
These postings would be particularly useful for anyone who wants to get to know the bible more.

I love what you said in this sentence. Also important is to know the Bible more means to get to know God more. To know the Bible more is to draw closer to God. That would mean that God would draw closer to those who know the Bible more. You get to know someone by listening and paying attention to their words. What an amazing experience lies ahead for those who participate in Bible Study.

Yes, that is so true. Can you imagine a parent who does not want to have a loving relationship with their very own child? Talking to Him is prayer. He talks to His children as well in different ways. Bible study and reading the Bible is just one way He talks to His children. Many times while studying His words in the Bible, He speaks to those engaged in that activity. Many people have testified that this happens to them including myself. He longs for a loving relationship with us human beings. He grieves when we do not seek Him for that fellowship with Him. His grief is even greater than human parents grief about a child who has abandon them.
Bible-study, I am looking forward to your posts. I can see these posts as helping me tremendously in my own experience with my Creator and my God. I definitely want to be closer to Him. I know your heart is to help me and others get closer to God.
