Other than Dr Yu, we think alike about American physicians. BUT, we can do better managing our own health anyway than they can/will! I use Fish Doxy (ebay) 100 mg pills. Take 2/day. Stay out of sunshine. According to the research, 21 days of Doxy then 1 dose of DEC 8mg/kg AT $ MONTHS later is supposed to handle filiarial worms for a year. Another study reported significant improvement when ALB was added.

I know that Matt reported that we must take care of flukes first but now that it is over (hoping only :), it really doesn't seem to matter. The flukes responded to the Doxy/ALB. Prazi made me really sick (vomiting). According to the literature, FenBen is quite docile and causes NO issues so dose away. I have doubled by dose for 7 dsys. I use the liquid goat wormer (Amazon) but it has drastically increased in price so back to horse paste. I squirt my dose into gelatin capsules. Much easier to take. I did take the FenBen and ALB together (get it all over with) BUT last few times I vomited it all back at night. Disgusting. Currently resting and taking nothing. Will wait a few more days than start ALB and FenBen separately. I read here on CZ from a woman who took Prazi every 2 hrs (3 doses) in the AM then the ALB & FenBen 2x/day later. May work better for you. You may not even have an issue. The only med that caused me significant problems was LEVamisole. Every single time I took it (even tiny doses) I was brain dead for over 3 days. I tried 3 different times - same outcome each time. Never again.

I have not had much luck with the 'naturals'. I DO use ADP (special oil of oregano tabs recomm by Dr Yu) for fungal infections (along with fluconazole Rxed by Dr Yu). Can get that at Mex pharmacies. I do 2 wks antifungals monthly AFTER 3-10 days of antiparasitics. Handles the fungal infestion that jumps in to handle dead worms.

I HAVE read in the literature that there has been success with artemisin (wormwood). I have found that the vet meds actually KILL while the others just seem to annoy them. I have also learned that we will probably have to dose for the rest of our lives. After taking the Doxy and DEC (I didn't wait), I had NOTHING for about 3 months. Yea. Not only does it kill the babies but it alters their ability to reproduce so no moing 'something' every month AND continue the antifungals every month.

I think a drug rest (supplements only) for several days/weeks is a really good thing. It gives your body time to heal and recover from managing all the vet meds & things. It doesn't seem to make a real difference on the worms - I always worried that they would reproduce faster, but not really. Just drove my body down.

Some flukes are killed by the bendazoles if they are dying you don't need the prazi. Just keep doing what your doing.

You can start with pyrantel horse paste. You dose to your weight. Horse dose and human dose is the same. This will paralyze round worms of any kind. The next morning take a strong laxitive like magnesium citrate. This is a cheap effective protocol for roundworms such as pin worms hookworms whip worms and small ascaris. Repeat this process once a week. Until you are clear. I would avoid herbals fasts and teas because some worms will scatter out of the digestive system from them. Then it is harder to treat.
