I have suspected for a while I've had an infection -- I thought it was candida, until what I think is
Ascaris came out of me recently. My doctor did a culture and it came back negative. I've had a history of IBS, acid reflux, an itchy butt whenever I poop, periodic rashes on my abdomen, chronic muscle stiffness and fibromyalgia, sinus pain, nodules / cysts in various places, adrenal fatigue and exhaustion and anxiety. I've also had known vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which, my doctor assumed was the acid blocker medication (which I'm no longer taking but still have some deficiencies). I've also long had micro spasms in my legs, which I thought was due to a mag deficiency. So now with the
Ascaris discovery, it all makes sense (and I'm wondering if those micro spasms are actually scattered parasites).
So anyway, I just finished a week of pyrantel followed by 3 days of mebendazole (100mg am and pm) and would love input on what to do next. I've been taking mag citrate and just added caster oil today. I was going to the bathroom fine until yesterday and things got weird yesterday (I'm going often but just in small spurts each time and my poop looks like an explosion went off with all sorts of fragments). So my first question -- is this normal after being on mebendazole for a couple days? Also, I know mebendazole doesn't absorb beyond the gut, so, what should I do next (especially if they have scattered)? (I just can't get myself to do an enema though). I know I need to go back on the pyrantel to get the eggs but when do I do that and what else should I do. I've also been cleaning obsessively.
Thank you for your help.
