To any helping hand out there please read through entirely,
Throughout the last month I've attempted short
Water Fasts i.e 2-3 days which I found quite easy. I then decided to try a longer one by attempting a 14 day
Water Fast and had a pretty easy time getting into it. At first bowel movements were regular and I had the usual detox symptoms but no drastic problems e.t.c.
However in the middle of Day 5 my stomach acidity suddenly increased and I started having acid reflux (something I've never had before). I tried remedies posted on this site such as drinking warm/hot water but it didn't work. It got so bad that I could barely sleep on the night of day 6. Day 7 I had some Maalox and woke up fine on Day 8. I passed some solid (which hadn't happened since I began the fast) stool.
Things again continued well except I didn't experience any bowel movements afterwards (had small bowel movement on day 9). Suddenly, in the middle of Day 12 I started feeling some pressure in my chest and was having trouble taking a good breath. I constantly felt shortness of breath. I woke up the same on Day 13 and in addition to the previous symptoms I also felt fatigued. I took my electrolyte as usual and tried to make it through the day. However, the symptoms had me very concerned and I broke the fast at around 16:30. Following procedure I had small bits of water melon at regular one hour intervals.
Next day post-fast I continued the same routine in the morning and went to have my blood checked. My potassium, sodium and chloride levels are solid but the symptoms persist. I then ate some apples and grapes and later made some vegetable broth. I went to the toilet and as if the problems weren't enough now I'm constipated and can't properly go. Ii plan on drinking some fybogel. CAN ANYBODY PLEASE GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT'S NOT HAPPENING IN MY BODY AND HOW TO FIX IT?
Additional info: my blood pressure is 125/85. I'm 86kgs (down from 98kgs at the beginning) at age 23. I was resting for the most part on the fast and only drank mineral water for the duration of the fast and a dissolving electrolyte tablet. Also three table spoons of Maalox on Day 7. I have no history of asthma.
