#183719: The Trinity doctrine says that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are all equal or the same. The Trinity doctrine says all three are in each other, the same person. Logical, reasonable, thinking people and true Christians know this is not the case. Jesus said his heavenly Father is GREATER than he is. Now how does that make God his equal? Why didn't Jesus say anything about the so-called third party the holy ghost as well?

How can the Father be greater than Jesus? How can Jesus say that the Father is greater than He is and still be God?

We must first understand that the Father and Jesus are not the same person, but they are both God. The Trinity is God manifested in three coequal and coeternal persons. The Father is not the same person as the Son, nor is God the Father, or God the Son the same person as the Holy Spirit. God the Father and God the Son are equal in nature as God, but different in function. Jesus took on humanity in the incarnation. This does not mean that Jesus gave up His deity. He was still God while on earth. The Bible says He was God with us. He was one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man while on earth. Jesus did voluntarily restricted the fullness of His deity in exercise while on earth. Therefore, God the Father had a greater position than that of God the Son while He was here on earth. Jesus is equal to the Father in His deity. In His humanity, Jesus is less than the Father. They both shared the same nature as God, but the Father had a higher rank. Jesus did not give up His deity, but also took on humanity. While on earth He had two natures, God and man.

Philippians 2:5-10 clearly explains this. Jesus voluntarily restricted His deity, but He still was deity.

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
