The confusion is all yours my friend. It's the inevitable consequence of trying to reconcile your erroneous beliefs with what the Bible actually says. Unfortunately, I don't presently have the time to refute the many falsehoods, parodies, misrepresentations, misapprehensions, and flawed rationalisations you manage to string together in just a few posts, but if you are serious about understanding what the Bible actually says about these things, as opposed to what you have been taught by your leaders, you can do a lot worse than to start here:
Bruce Metzger was a Greek scholar of international repute and standing, and he ably refuted some of your more egregious departures from Christian truth more than 60 years ago. His conclusions are as trenchant and relevant today as they were when they were first written, and we Christians all owe him a debt of gratitude for the excellent service he has rendered in the defence of the faith 'that was once for all delivered to the saints.' (Jude v3)
You just need to stop grandstanding long enough to listen to your conscience before you become too self-deceived to even consider the theoretical possibility that you might actually be wrong on this one - tragically wrong, with potentially eternal consequences for your soul.
And yes, I'm the pompous one on these forums, not Rainy. So next time you feel inclined to hurl that epithet at anybody, make sure it's hurled in my direction. I've earned it.
