Yes, fasting will not only detox physically but also mentally. When I was young, I used to be very angry and planning revenge when someone did something wrong to me at work. But was seldom acting on my thoughts and carried those negative emotions with me. When I learned to do long fasts, I also cleared up those stored emotions and became more forgiving.

Fast away, it may take many fasts depending on how old and deep those emotions are seated. You can cry on your own without even fasting, it is a good thing.

In my experience, the flow of life-force does not reach the fourth chakra effectively due to blockages in the bottom 3 chakras. These are pertaining to personal security, relationship with one's self, those close to you and society.

One cannot fully express universal love until work has been done in the bottom 3 chakras. I have found that delving into the deep and sometimes murky waters of childhood is neccesary.

As children we internalise a lot of the poor choices of the adults around us, making us feel less deserving of the unconditional love that is our birthright.

I am on day 11 of my Water Fast and the emotional baggage I have detoxed has been intense. The amount of shame I have held onto is incredible.
